Question about Electrical Supplies
Motor sounds like it is stuck. Cranked it from the bottom and reset but still does not work. Need to know how to take it apart
1) Copy following link for instructions manuals and parts sellers.
2) Parts and motors are not available for all brands.
Waste king has long warranty.
Other brands have 1-5 year warranty.
3) Check outlet has 80% rated voltage
4) Motor start capacitor might be out if you can get it to run by rotating the cutter disk. Otherwise the motor or wiring is probably is bad.
5) Recommend installing new disposal if old one is older than 4-5 years. Because the insides will rust away from constant exposure to moisture.

If the cutter plate will turn freely, look for a reset botton. Some units have them and depending on how it was installed, it will be around the back. It should be a push button, about 3/8" diameter. It takes a good hard push to reset it.

should have came with a alen key use it. to loosen the blades that are stuck on the bottom of the gaburator theree should be a hole in the middle. Just fine a alen key that fits in the hole and turn it around and then turn it on should solve your problem

sound's like you have a problem with your drain pipe's. it is not normal for water to come back up.check the allen key bolt, located on the bottom of unit .insert allen wrench /key,and turn in a clock wise&counter clockwise motion to see if disposal is jammed.you also might consider some drain opener before it get's worse
