It may be a mechanical or optical detection of the disc being inserted.
The unit need to be seen by a Technician to determine what is wrong with the unit. Lens cleaning is not the first action I would take to resolve this.

Hi,

Goodluck!

I have had a few of these come to my shop. The gears jump out of timing causing the cd lift to jam or become unalligned. The unit will probably have to be disassembled to get the CD out or have it serviced.

SOURCE: Denon DCM 390 not longer reads discs--HELP!

Hi there, this lens may be dirty or it may have a thin layer of heat film that is causing it to not read in a consistent manner. i would try to clean the lens with a good CD lens cleaner. if the cleansing doesn't restore the lens to its original reading state, this will confirm lens assembly failure and you will need to replace this assembly.

I can't get the CD to eject.... in fact, I can't get the unit to acknowledge there is even a CD/mp3 option... IT just flips back and forth between tuner and aux. It was cold last night when I put a Cd in...

When you remove the faceplate you will find a small little black hole in the deck.Insert an opened paperclip to over ride the eject and make it come out. Please let me know if this helps

I put a cd into my cd deck in my truck it goes in three seconds later the cd deck reads El then ejects

If the cd is a copied cd or a non-original cd it just may not be reading the format, if it does it with all cds then you have a problem wih your cd-rom or the cd laser lens. If thats the case then replace the unit.

Jvc kd lx111 deck wont eject cd

I just had this problem today and when I attempted to eject the CD it would give me an error message that stated (ERR 32). Apparently this means that there is something blocking the movement of the screen, a little manipulation should help the issue. Another variable could be the Eject lock feature, essentially a "child lock" for your disc. When this lock is activated it prevents the CD in the deck to be ejected. You can change this by holding down the blue source button and the eject button simultaneously for about 2 or 3 seconds. A message should appear saying "No Eject" and one that repeatedly flashes "Eject on" These two things seemed to help me alot when I had this issue. If those things don't work I would recommend calling JVC, much to my suprise they were actually really helpful. Their number is 1-800-252-5722.

Disc stuck in unit

Unplug power cord. Plug back power and keep pressing the eject button repeatedly while the unit starts up. Do this a couple of times, if you succeed in activating the eject before the system starts reading the disk, then it will eject.

If you do not get the disk out in this way, the only alternative is taking the unit apart, and removing disk from inside manually.

Not reading cd's anymore.

if you are a electronic technician
you do as follows (you are not consult a technician)
i am not sure, but in my point of view
its due to
  • the eye alignment/replacement problem
  • due to IC chip problem connected to eject button
  • due to dust
  1. first clean (for remove dust) the cd player circuit board, check the cd player is properly working
  2. first mark the position of the screw
  3. align the eye by using a very small screw driver, turn the screw under the eye unit
  4. insert disc and try to play, repeat the steps for getting a better result

most likely problem is a defective cassette housing. I've replaced about a dozen of these in AG-DV2500s.
