My pc works only when I reset CMOS

Hi, Some of your BIOS settings are not 100% acceptable/compatible with your current setup. I would suggest that you set everything to default, save and close/restart. Another thing you can check is if the Lithium battery needs replacement. Normally it should read 3.0Volts. If the above does not solve your problem, you can consider other things: 1. BIOS update by flashing; 2. Processor to motherboard compatibility - try underclocking your processor by lowering its FSB; and/or 3. Memory to motherboard compatibility - try increasing your latency Good luck and hope this be of some help/idea to you. Post back how things went or should you need further information. kind regards.

Need to replace cpu fan on Toshiba Satellite A85-S107 and can not get the laptop appart.

Remove the battery, unplug the unit.
  • Take off the hard drive cover by extracting the two screws that secure it and then taking it off. Take out the screw on the modem and wireless card cover and take the cover off. To remove the hard drive, shift it to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard and pull it out of the computer. Gently disconnect the Wi-Fi card antenna cables and take out the card. Extract the screws on the modem card, disconnect it from the motherboard, and then disconnect the cable to free it from the computer. Remove the optical drive screw, push the drive out of the laptop and then take it off. Extract the 15 screws out of the bottom of the laptop and turn the laptop over.
  • Open the laptop and fold back the LCD screen as far back as possible. Pry up the keyboard bezel (the plastic strip above the keyboard) by inserting a flat-head screwdriver or a spudger in the groove at the right side of the strip. Pull the bezel off the laptop. Extract the keyboard screws and fold the keyboard down over the palm rest. Release the flat cable that connects the keyboard to the motherboard and take the keyboard off the laptop. Remove the screws securing the LCD screen to the back side of the laptop. Disconnect the video cable and the Wi-Fi cable from the motherboard and remove the screws on the LCD screen hinges and then pull the screen off the laptop. There are four visible cables that are connected to the motherboard: the switchboard cable, the speaker cable and the touchpad cable. Disconnect all three. Take out the four screws from the top cover and pry the top cover off by running the flat-head screwdriver along the groove around the entire laptop and pulling it off. Now the laptop is completely disassembled to where the motherboard is exposed as the last remaining component.

Hello
You should have your speakers plugged into output or green hole in back of pc.

Then you may need to go to control panel/sound/ and configure speakers for 4.1 or 5.1.

If you have only 2 speakers use the stereo setting.

If this still does not work try reinstalling the sound drivers for your motherboard or sound card.

Sound dont work

Your potential problem is that your audio drivers are missing. You may get the drivers from your motherboard CD or motherboard manufacturer's site. But most of the times realtek audio drivers work for most of the system. You may get it from here. http://tinyurl.com/realtekaudio

In the above website, please select the required drivers viz., 2 or 6 or 8 channel drives. If you have just two speakers, two channel is your need. If you have a 5.1 surround or 7.1 surround setup speakers, you may choose 6 or 8 channels respectively. I guess this should solve your problem. And a simple request, please post more technical information about your problem to get more straight answers.
Regards..

NOTE: Choosing a 6 channel driver won't make your stereo (2 channel) speakers sound like 5.1 stereo.

Maybe you need some audio driver, this driver drives your audio to be outputed to your speaker. audio driver are apparently included at your motherboard setupdisc.
