From the FILE menu bar, bring up the PRINT window, and there may be a button called PROPERTIES. Click on this button and you should have several options for the printer. Under the GRAPHICS option, there may be an enlarge option.

Welcome to Fixya! To enlarge that Photo You can use the Software that came with the Printer. If you have a Scanner Built in to it, You can enlarge it to any size that you wish. You can also use the Settings in My Pictures Just click on Edit and you should be able to get it where you need it.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, enlarging the print size is normally done on the software in your computer that you used to access, view and then print the color photos.

Alternately, if you are using a memory card directly plug into the computer (assuming it has one), then choices on the MENU/settings would allow you to select output paper/printsize.

Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

    Appreciate the postback.

    The PIXMA MP610 Photo All In One therefore would have a scanner. Procedures would be as follows:

    • install drivers (from CD) to a computer;

    • connect MP610 to your computer;

    • run scanning program and scan the "PRINT";

    • download, install and run a photo enhancement/manipulation software such as those available here or your preference;

    • modify photo characteristics as you desire;

    • print.
    Cheers.

You can enlarge your color photos on the computer.

The usermanuals and other guides are available on this canon support page

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=15604

Drivers and downloads page
then guides and manuals.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    I need a little clarification at this point.

    Is the picture on the computer? or is it on paper that you want to scan and enlarge it for printing or what are you trying to acomplish?

Tip

Using a color enlarger to print both color and black and white photos

Some enlargers have dials on the front that are labeled yellow, cyan and magenta. These enlargers are made to print both black and white and color photos. To print in colors you use the dials to perfect the colors of your print. Let say that you took a picture and the colors look to be a bit off. In the light you would hold up a color filter to the image and decide which filter makes the color look closest to what you want the final image to look like. Then taking the information on the card you go back into the dark room and adjust the dials on the enlarger according to the card that was used. If you were looking through a green filter then you would lower the number on the magenta dial.

Printing in black and white on an enlarger with these dials is a little different. Since there are no colors in the black and white paper these dials have a different function. They are used to adjust the contrast of an image. If you turn the light on in the enlarger without paper under it and turn the dials you will notice that the magenta will make the light darker. When you print with the yellow and cyan dials at 0 and magenta at around 10-20 this will add contrast the image. You can always develop all your negatives without touching any of these dials, but if you can master them then your images will have a little less flat than those with little to no contrast.

My mp610 Canon printer will no longer print email documents (black)- leaves page blank, except for email address (in blue print)., But printer will still print satisfactory color pictures (Photos). B

Get the latest driver from Canon's web site. Then uninstall the printer. Remove the driver from your computer. Use regedit to remove any traces of your printer from your registry. Install the new driver. That should do it.

Does black and white photography use the same enlarger as color photography?

Black and white photography uses a much more basic enlarger, you will notice that some enlargers have knobs on the front that are magenta, cyan and yellow these are color enlargers. A color enlarger can be used to develop black and white images but a color image cannot be developed using a black and white enlarger.

Our picture is yellow

first check the cable. second, go into the menu and reset the settings to factory default. this will reset any image changes and the resolutions. third, clean it out. dust collecting on the colorwheel will cause this, too. if you still have a problem and you just bought it, it should still be under warranty, so send it in to get repaired for free.

Can I save a scanned image using MP610?

Yes. PIXMA MP610 is a multifunction printer that has printer/copier/scanner capabilities.
Just install the software and drivers supplied with your printer (or download them from CANON ) and connect the printer do the computer.
The printer sofware will guide you through the operation of scanning an image and saving it to a a file in the computer.

Canon MP610 - colours printed are not the same as on pc screen

This is likely because your monitor is not calibrated with your printer. Search for monitor color calibration online and then calibrate your colors to match the color profile used by the MP610, likely Adobe RGB or something similar.
