This happen because the lack of LUBE maintenance schedule
Lube with 100% silicones or wax see your instr. manual
2) Lube the rollers bearing. with wd-40
3) test the drive belt motor.

SOURCE: My Precor 9.21 si Treadmill shuts down upon

Hey Doug,

Just wondering has this unit ever had the running deck flipped over if not this may be sighs of worn deck or belt or both! What is starting to happen is that at the higher speed the unit is starting to draw more current, so the motrol control board will sense this and will shut down so it won't damage either the motor or board. What starts as an occassional shut down will progressively become more frequent. Simple test is put your hand palm down between the belt and deck,if you feel uneven ridges then the deck needs to be flipped over and when you pull out your hand out and their is a black sooty film on the back of it ,then that seals it this means that the composite material is being shaved off. Most likely the belt will have a smooth glazed feeling in the middle part of it. and well also need replacing.

SOURCE: I am 230 lbs. and when I try to run intervals on

hi it seems like the running belt is too loose try tighten it. you should be able to lift the belt up 2 to 3 inches if more then def tighten the belt. after this if the problem is still there then the belt on the motor needs adjusting.

When I get on treadmill it slows down andjust about shuts off. Im 265 pds, My wife gets on @ 160 pds the treadmill runs fine. I ADJUSTED THE BELT LOOSER AND IT STILL RUNS THE SAME. WHAT CAN I DO TO CORRECT...

Loose is not the answer. Proper lubrication and correct tension adjustment is the answer. I don't know how many HP the motor is for, but for 265 pds it should be at least 3HP.
Put the speed at about 3MpH and while walking, make a small jump on the belt to ensure that it is properly tensioned. Needless to say that the belt must be well lubricated. If you see that the belt tends to stop when you make the jump, turn both allen screws exactly the same amount clockwise. Half a turn might be enough. When you're satisfied and the belt doesn't seem to stop, give both allen screws another half turn clockwise.
All that as long as the treadmill is capable of handling your weight.

The treadmill speed is faster than reallife speed. I can easily run 7 minute miles on the roads (not racing, just running) and my wife is an eight minute metronome. But on the treadmill if I set it below...

the speed of treadmills are based on the companies regulations and are machine made. so they might not be 100% accurate. a treadmill is a simulated devise so it is never the same. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_c8c9213424bf492d84f2bfaa8e62c574(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_c8c9213424bf492d84f2bfaa8e62c574(document['FCTB_Init_c3525ba5f17e4280b024b96d82d11976']); delete document['FCTB_Init_c3525ba5f17e4280b024b96d82d11976'] var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_6836227ebca14782a6c9f0284529fff9(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_6836227ebca14782a6c9f0284529fff9(document['FCTB_Init_f3124b0bb88c423dafd62627ed1118bc']); delete document['FCTB_Init_f3124b0bb88c423dafd62627ed1118bc']

What is the weight limit on a treadmill

hi good day..When you run on a treadmill the impact is 2 1/2 times your body weight. The impact from walking is considerably less. Therefore individuals who weigh in over 200 lbs need to consider a treadmill that can withstand the additional impact. Most treadmill manufacturers overstate their weight limit by as much as 50-75 lbs.
Treadmills for Users Over 250 Pounds: If you are in the 250 lbs range you better find a model that claims to at least handle a 300 lbs user. Look for models that have a deck that is around and 1-inch thick. A ½-inch deck may break from users that are hefty..

Is there a weight restriction ?

It is not a restriction. It is a recommended limit of 300 lbs. See ProForm 695 LT Treadmill

If you weigh more than the limit, the machine will feel, and be, unstable. You could also harm the motor over time.

Solo seat's spring breakage

I am plagued by the breakage of the horizontal springs that run the length of the seat. Several of those that CMW kindly supplied as replacements have broken as well as 6 or 7 of the original. I might add that I only weigh about 145 lbs. What has been the experience of other users of this seat? Has anyone found a solution to the problem? A few of mine broke too. They broke at the hooks not the spring itself. I used a coat hanger to make new hooks and have had no further trouble. If the spring got lost you'll obviously have to get replacements.,
