I agree with punky-

If it has been drying for a few days, put the battery back in and try it.

I dropped a phone in the toilet once, a T-mobile phone. it took a couple of days for it to dry out completely. Then I snapped it back together, and it was fine. Being that yours just got wet, and not immersed is different though, so you may want to take it into T-mobile and see if they can check it out for you because then you will know for sure what is going on. Good luck.

My skycaddie was immersed in water. Battery shorted. will not recharge. unit dried. Do I just need a new battery?

if the device got wet while the power was on` it most likely shorted out components in the device and you will need a new one. if its worth your time and money you can try purchasing a new battery, but chances are the device still has water inside and is shorting it still. dis assembly and inspection of inside cavity is the only way to guarantee that it really is DRY completely, but is illogical to try to take these devices apart ~ electronics dropped in water have to pretty much be called defective after immersed.
sorry .thats probably the wrong answer. but its 100% truth

Fell in sink...no longer works

First of all it is possible to buy another phone if you go to uniden.com.

As much as the one that fell in the sink, remove the battery cover and battery, dry inside the phone and battery. Then place all parts in a warm room (NOT on a radiator) and leave for 24 hrs. Then reconnect and see if it works. My fingers are crossed for you.!

My Itouch is not working Help!!!!

If you would have allowed it to dry up it could have been saved. Now, unfortunately, it's most likely gone.
Remove the batteries and dry it in an hot place (use a hair drier at least  ten minutes for at least 2 days). Buy new batteries and try again. Who knows, you might get lucky.

My Camera in water

Usually when cameras fall in water, the circults gets wet and mostly causes a short-circuit which causes the components to fail. If the camera fell in water without the battery you could try

1. Drying it completly before putting on the battery to test it.

2. Immerse the camera in alchol complety. It basically substitutes water (removes moisture) and vaporises quickly. Dry it completly and test it with battery.

If the battery was in when you dropped it your chances are less. You could dry it completly and show it to a technician ASAP. Make sure no moisture reaches it.

Hope its still under warranty.

Sidekick 3 dropped in a cup of water. Water got into screen.

Is the screen blank all the time?

If you look really hard can you see the items on the screen but they are really dark? If so the back light for the lcd may have burned out.

Take a look at the following site for instructions on disassembly.

http://www.gsfx.org/disassembly/index.htm

If you feel comfortable with it, you can easily replace your own.
A new lcd runs about 50 dollars shipped. If you buy it from ebay, they will usually come with instructions and the screwdriver you need. A T6 torx driver is the type needed.

Good job on drying it out and pulling the battery. Thats the best thing you can do when you get it wet!

Powershot sd400 elph,got wet

If you tried turning the camera on while the electronics were still wet, it may be too late to offer any help.

Assuming you do this again, any piece of electronics that is immersed in water may begin to corrode immediately upon exposure to air, and if you don't want to take the chance of corrosion, you should take your camera to a professional repair depot.

Without disassembling the camera and drying out the pieces manually, there's nothing you can do except open every available crevice (lense, battery area, CF memory slot), remove the battery and memory card (which can then be dried CAREFULLY by hand), and hope that all pieces of the camera will eventually dry out (I'd leave it in a dry, warm environment for at least 3-4 days - longer if you can wait).
