You don't have to pay the dealer. they should just give it to you. ive been a professional installer for ten years, and never seen anyone have to pay for that information, as long as they own the car.

Car battery died in my 1990 BMW 750il ,i just

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST A NEW  QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

When i put in 4 digit code on my renault megane my radio does not respond after its battery was charged, the battery was disconnected for to get charged.

It is either the wrong code or you are entering it incorrectly.

To get the code checked

POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

A Renault normally has a 14 character Serial Number beginning with
RN++++++++++++  plus a Security Code in the format TOX123 or TX123 or just X123 at the end of a barcode ...so please quote EVERYTHING you can find.

The code entry instructions  for a Renault / Philips radio  are Philips Renault Code Entry

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'

Use the steering controls for code entry.

Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [¬ ] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit

If the correct code is now shown on screen

You will have no choice but to go to the dealership, bring your serial number with you and there is a fee involved. They can find the code for you.
