Question about Singer 3116 Simple
While threading the upper part there is that piece that you have to take the thread down the right side and up the left and then around a metal hook, I believe it's called the tension loop but i'm not sure. My machine doesn't have this hook in the position it should be, if i look through the crack I see it inside the machine, so i was wondering if there is some lever or something that pushes this out because otherwise I can't thread the upper part at all.

Move the top dial on the right side of the machine counter clock wise until the hook lifts up.
