Question about Samsung HL-S4266W 42" HDTV
I replaced it and it is running fine, but it still says it. Help!
Either something has to be done to clear that error or the set is detecting something.
I have a comment/suggestion here. that error may be misleading you, when you replaced the fan was there a noticeable amount of dust in the set---not like inside a carpet vac but noticeable.
I have seen this before in more than one set and brand---first thing we do is roll set outside (I know its getting to be winter) and with the cover off use compressed air and dust the whole set out--don't do it inside as even if set looks fairly dust free it may look like a dust storm when you do this.
I have seen many where units were dead or shutting down etc where once the air channels (unit takes in air from front and exhausts it toward the rear) I have a working set with no issues.
this is from experience and I hope it may help.
