Question about Saniflo Home

1 Answer

We have a Sanioflo and when you flush, waste comes back into the toilet bowl, also the sink and the bath take a long time to drain away. Please help

The system has had a good clean out but we still get horrible sewage smells from the sink and the toilet.

The saniflow should be plumed into the soil pipe system not the general waste water system.

SOURCE: have to flush 2 or 3 times to empty toilet bowl

hello, this is a standard toilet you will need to inspect the flapper that is the rubber flap that holds the water up in the tank it works when you pull the lever it pulls the chain upward and lets the water flow if this flapper is old it may not stay up long enough for the water to flow. open the tank top and flush the toilet see if this flapper is staying up long enough and giving the tank enough time to empty if not change this rubber flapper its inexpensive part.
if this is not the reason then you need to adjust your water filler valve there should be a small screw on top of the pivoting float arm
if you have to adjust it for the water limit line inside the tank this will be the proper amount of water needed to flush once completely

also check that the chain lenth on the pull lever is not pulling the flapper down quicker than its supposed to,

try this let me know your results
hope it helps

SOURCE: cadet 3 round bowl toilet not flushing all from bowl

You are probably correct, the water level needs to be raised. There are many different toilet tank systems, but all have some way to control the water level in the tank. Let me know if you need help figuring it out...

P.S. You'll have to take the lid off the tank, first...pardon me if that is too obvious

SOURCE: standard toilet will not flush

If this is a new development, then you have a partially clogged drain or maybe a crack in the bowl assembly. If the toilet always did this, then perhaps the drain pipe was not installed correctly.

I would remove the toilet and run a snake through to the main stack. If you find that is clear, check the bowl for cracks and check the tank water level to be sure that the tank is filling to the water line on the tank

SOURCE: Downstairs toilet won't stop filling, upstairs toilet won't fill

for the upstairs if the valve is fully on there is not much you can do other than replace water service to the house or heaven forbid repipe.Valves usually don't restrict fill volume. But you can take the supply loose from the tank and stick it in a bucket turn the valve on and check the flow.this should narrow it down.Down stairs repair or replace flush valve

SOURCE: basement toilet won't flush. water fills the bowl

Check your flapper line to the flush handle. The flapper is in the tank on bottom. There shoiuld be a plastic line to handle or chain. :)

My toilet flushes ok, but does not take all the wast away

this is related to a blockage in the sewerage pipe where a back pressure is built up as the air tries to vent slowing down the flushing action could be, waste , paper or grease build up from the sink
go to the hard ware shop and by a quality product that contains sodium hypochlorite ( brand name like draino, drain clean etc) put about a 1/2 cup in the bowl, let ti sit for around 5 minutes then flush
repeat if necessary with a bit more of the product
Note
the product is extremely corrosive so use rubber gloves and eye protection
Enzyme eater products are safer but less effective

We have a basement bathroom. The bath drains away very slowly, but everything else seems fine - toilet and sink draining/flushing fine. Can we use a usual unblocker (eg sodium hydorchloride) to unblock?

I worked on a lot of Saniflo products, they do not recommend using any products that have bleach or chlorine. Make sure the flapper inside the side inlet where the bath drains, is not obstructed.

My jacuzzi toilet doesnt fill with enought water in the bowl to remove waste from porcilin when flushing

Hi, W/D here.
Check the water level in the tank. The force to flush waste comes from there. Normally the fill line is cast into the back of the tank, but sometimes it is on the overflow tube. Raise the level if it is low.
Also, make sure that the tubing from the fill valve is connected to the over flow tube (the tall tube).
Best regards, --W/D--

Check to make sure that the bowl fill tube is in the overflow tube. Your description sounds like the bowl starts with less water than it should have, so it has to fill up before actually being pushed out.

If there is a shower in the same bath is it also draining slowly?
If so check that drain systems air vent, (on the roof).
Find the pipe coming out of the roof nearest the bathroom with the problem and when a second person flushes the toilet you should be able to feel
air moving in and out of the pipe with your hand covering the end. If not the vent could be blocked by leaves or animals etc., this vent has to be clear in order for water to drain properly.

My new EZ-33 cloggs easily with small amount of waste to flush.

you have to take the whole toilet out. you need to check the opening of the down pipe. most likely the wax ring is blocking the soilds. shunt off the water drain out the toilet, unbolt the floor bolts and left it up. clean out the down pipe and replace a new wax ring.

Our toto toilet wont flush the water down. We plunged it to no avail, then we ran drain clearing baloons it wouldnt clear out. we keep removing the water with plastic pots. So we can try something else....

Sounds like something is either in the bowl stuck or down in the waste line. I would probably pull the toilet and pour water down the waste line to see if it backs up or set the toilet up on something and pour water into the bowl to see if it comes out. At least it will help to find out where the problem is. Have you lost anything recently that might have fell in the toilet. Did something come off of the plunger and get stuck in the bowl?

Blockage Maintenance

# Regularly remove any hairs that get trapped in the waste plug hole. # Keep small objects such as combs, medicine bottles and toilet rolls away from places where they could accidentally fall into the toilet. # Regularly flush the wash basin and bath or shower pipe work with hot water and a disinfectant to clear soap residue and prevent build up over time. # Don’t flush away large and disposable items such as sanitary towels, nappies or product wrapping as they can become caught in the drainage pipe. # Do not dispose of waste food scraps and cuttings down the kitchen sink. These are much better composted. If any items do fall into the sink pull the vegetable material out of the plug hole, do not try to poke through as you could impact the blockage making it harder to remove. # Never dispose of cooking fats down the drain system. As they hit cold water they will solidify. If there is absolutely no alternative you should dilute and emulsify the fats by mixing them with hot water and of detergent. Keep the water running for a minute after you have done this to keep a clear water flow. # For complete peace of mind, particularly if you are running a business you can request a regular drain surveys and get your drainage system checked regularly by a CCTV drain inspection service. This will give early warning of any potential blockages and also enables you to keep an eye on the structural condition of the drainage pipe work.
