Turn off at the wall. Turn key to program mode. Hold down receipt feed while turning back on at wall. Let go of receipt feed. You should see "FFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. It will print out a message on the receipt. tell me what the large number is at the bottom.

SOURCE: Casio CE-3700 giving E008 errors!

Hi.
Yes, it definitely is the CLERK function. When you enter 0 CLK#, you are just logging off (which has already been done), so that is normal for it to accept that. If you can't get in with 1 CLK# then I'd say someone has setup special codes for this machine (PIN numbers). You will need to do a prog. read. Also, if you have four raised CLERK buttons just below the keylock, one of them should be pressed down. (they are an option on some versions). Try 1 CLK# or 2 CLK# or 3 CLK# ... up to 7. If none will log you on, let me know, and I'll tell you how to do a read on it.

Hi.
You have performed the flag clear incorrectly and now the machine is trying to do an entire RAM clear. You may have already lost everything. Make sure you do not type any numbers while it is like this.

Try this:

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold FEED down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see '0.00' on display, let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

Getting error in E004 for Casio TE-2200 reg how do I get out and running

Try this:
Turn key to PGM (program) mode
Turn power off at the wall socket

Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it)

Turn power back on and wait 5 seconds before taking your finger off of the receipt feed button (the paper may feed out. This is normal).
The LLLLLLLLLL part of the display should change to FFFFFFFFFF.
Press SUBTOTAL once and wait for the printer to issue a receipt.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. You may need to sign on using a clerk button or a clerk code if you use one.

I still get the Eo8 error code even after turning power off, holding receipt feed, waiting for ffffffff and then hitting subtotal. Suggestions?

You haven't signed back on. Enter your secret PIN number and press the clerk CLK button. If you have forgotten your sign on number, most programming manuals are here:

I have CASIO SE -5300 and cannot sign in with correct ID number shows error E008

The clerk login should never change without secret code programming so it seems very strange. What buttons are you pressing to log in. Are you sure you are using the correct PIN numbers for your clerks?

I am getting a E004 error code on my Casio TK-6500

You may have lost everything from the machine. Try this first:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it (you might have to log on if you get Error 8 - clerk buttons next to key or logon code)
If it doesn't work, look at the print out on the receipt and tell me what the big number is right at the bottom under the copyright message.

TE-2400 error E004

Hi.
This is very serious. It means the register is about to completely clear everything (or may have done so already). If it has been sitting for a long time without power, or new out of the box, then this is normal. We can try to jump it back out of the init mode.

Follow these steps very carefully:

Turn the power off at the wall.
Turn the key to PROGRAM mode.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see the display change to 'FFFFFFFFFF' let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

Turn the key back to REG mode and try it. If you get error 8, then you may need to log a clerk back on.

Let me know if you have problems.
