SOURCE: FUSER ERROR

I just reviewed both of the above fuser issues (50.2 & 50.3). Both are highly likely (even if recently replaced) fuser damaged. I have included below a link to a free HP service manual for your machines. Start on page 309 using a volt/ohms meter to test the fuser. To address the "Guest" inquiry regarding the HVPS, there is a separate HVPS however please be aware that it is not part of the fusing circuit in this machine. If anything it would be the LVPS (Low Voltage Power Supply) however very remote. Odds are maybe 1 in 200 on your best day. I'd put 10 fusers in the machine before I bought 1 LVPS. This machine is known to eat fusers. The HVPS and LVPS at this time are just about bulletproof. PLEASE TRY TESTING THE FUSER AGAIN USING THE MANUAL PAGE 309 TO 311. If your really want the power supplies though, they are on the part number list at the end of the manual. I just looked it up and we have repaired 74 of machines to date with not one PS ever used. 59 of the 74 have been for fuser issues.

Here's the manual link:

Hope that helps you both. :)

SOURCE: hp laser jet 2840 engine error

its the problem of the spinning wheel which pulls the paper that is called engine and that is either getting blocked by any dust particles or got broken internally and has to be cleaned or replaced to make it proper.

SOURCE: hp laserjet 2840 all in one gives FUSER ERROR

For any fuser error, the first thing that should be done is replacing the fuser. If the error still shows up after wards, it could be the LVPS (Low voltage power supply) or a board.

Depends on which version of MAC OS you are using. Latest versions such as Snow Leopard HP appears to only offer printer drivers and no other software.

I am getting a 50.2 error on my HP lazerjet 2840 . It would seem to be a fuser problem. I took out the back and nothing seems to be disconnected. How much is a reconditioned fuser if I have to buy one. Or...

Try reseating the fuser. If that doesn't work then you will need to replace the fuser. If that doesn't work then the fuser power supply needs to be replaced. The fax is another problem. First get the printer working.

HP LazerJet 2840 Error Problem

What are you using it for? If it's for an industrial application, there are lazer printers that are made to hold up to the heavier work load. They're not as cheap though.

Why is it printing only black? I have a 12A Q2612A cartridge installed

This printer is a MONO laserjet printer meaning it can only print in black colour.

If you want a fax/copy/printer that does colour you would need something like a HP Colour Laserjet 2840.
