Maytag side by side not cooling

The whole fridge was warming when we got up this morning, so we transfered everything to coolers, and the freezer started cooling on it's own about two hours later, but the fridge side is still warm. The small flap in the back near the bottom behind the drawers is covered in frost, and no ice is being made. Can you help me?

Same problem. Through another site, I was told to turn the fridge off for 24 hours. Then it worked fine. 4 days later, the fridge warmed again. I took the panel off the inside back of freezer, and one set of coils was a solid block of frost. One of the heater coils was shot. I replaced the heater unit for $40. So far, it is working great.

Maytag Fridge (Model # MZD2766GEW) not cooling

Check to see if you have frost on the back panel of your freezer in your fridge. If you do your coil is frozen over and you'll have to defrost your freezer. I just did mine cause mine wasn't cooling properly on my fridge side.

Fridge warm, freezer fridge temp

The adaptive derost control has gone bad a very common issue. It will work a couple of weeks before its back to its frosting over. It just plugs in but to get to it you must remove the controls at top of frigde section in the back right corner held in by two scewrs.
