Does it drain? If not your pump is bad. If it does drain you need a belt if it is a belt driven washer.

What brand washer do you have? Model number. I just ask because some washers you just lift hard and the agitator comes off others have the bolt under the softener. If you have the bolt than hold the agitator in place than turn counterclockwise fast and hard. Sometimes if you tighten it a hair it makes it easier to loosen. If you need any further assistance please comment.

I have a LG WT5001CW top load washer. Recently the agitator plate began to loosen and fall off during spin cycle. Now when spin cycle starts and the tub turns it squeaks and grinds then I get a UE alarm.

The agitator has a gear like attachment that meets the long shaft up the center of the tub. If the alignment is off and not exactly in place the agitator will move or the gear-like part will wear down, become rounded, or break. The agitator must fit perfectly and tight. A nut on top (under the cap) has to be turned down tight.

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer goes thru all cycles but will not spin, so clothes are wet. We replaced the motor coupler but will only spin without clothes. Once you put clothes in the tub does

sounds like direct drive gears are bad.. there is a slip coupling that goes over the shaft of the transmission adn assist turning the tub that could be worn or broken. you will have to remove the agitator and check the nut on top of the tub to see if it is tight or to remove the nut and check that coupling.

It's making a very loud banging noise in spin cycle

There can be any number of reasons for the tub slipping / jerking.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://beta.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieveModelDetails.pd?modelNumber=11092584100&productCategoryId=0153200&brandId=0582&brandDescription=KENMORE&modelName=WASHER&searchedModel=110.92584110

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

It's possible that the drive block and / or tabs holding the tub to the block are worn / damaged.

Also see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manuals for these washers:

I'd essentially pull the washer apart to check that everything is in place.

(IT'S NOT AS DIFFICULT AS IT MAY SOUND AND MOST FIXES ON THESE WASHERS AREN'T VERY EXPENSIVE)

See the following for a detailed description of how to do it.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137&osCsid=75a4070beeb01ac4cd6c732ff4f740fc

NOTE:

You don't have to buy a special spanner wrench ($20) to remove the spanner nut. I've used a short 10" pipe wrench (about $9.00 also good for cracking walnuts) hooked over one of the tabs on the spanner nut, tap the handle with a hammer and it should loosen.

Also, don't directly hit the drive block with a hammer. Use a short piece of wood under the drive block and tap up on the wood.

The problem does point to the drive block and/or the nut holding the tub to the block. The block is soft metal and easily damaged if the nut isn't tight. Also check the tabs on the tub to make sure that they fit into the notches in the block.

The spinning part at the base of the lawnmower has stopped spinning, and i cant figure out why. i think it has something to do with connection issues in the nick and the connection to the lawn mower it...

Hello. Most likely the nut which holds the blade tight has loosened enough that the motor spins the shaft but the blade just sits there and doesn't spin. This is an easy repair. You will need a large crescent wrench, or the properly sized open end wrench and a 2 foot long piece of 2x4 lumber. Use the lumber to "lock" the blade against the frame once you have the nut fairly tight. Then give it one more turn to be sure the nut doesn't loosen up on you again. It is best to do this job without turning the mower upside down as doing that will cause the oil to go into the air filter and then it will not start. If this is all basically greek to you ask a neighbor or a friend for help. It is really only a two minute job. J.

How do you remove the jets on an american standard whirlpool tub they are leakin and i believe the seals are bad

The jets have a nut on the back of the jet. I hope you have access or else you will need to pull the tub for this job. Loosen the nut and squeeze aquarium grade silicone in between the tub wall and the nut, Tighten the nut, but not to tight. Let set over night fill and check for leaks the next day.
