Question about Hasbro I-DOG AMP'D

I dog behaving randomly

I bought an I dog about a week ago and it worked fine for awhile, now it's started operating erratically. It won't move for days then it will start to move for no reason then stop again. Also it seems to be stuck in listening mood as the lights come on by themselves even if no music or sounds are playing.

I've tried the reset button, changing the batteries, and it's not in try me mood, but nothing seems to help

I tried that already and it didn't help, the volume control works fine and it plays music.

Its just not moving and like i said the light flashes whether there's noise or its quiet.

Can I have the I Dog Chip repaired at any electronics shop or do I have to send it back to Hasbro

Nothing helped the dog is still behaving randomly, I suspect that it really is a chip problem though. So I guess it was kind of helpful

The best thing for You is, if the dog is under warranty, to have the customer service department of Hasbro take a look at the dog and, since this might be caused by an internal software error or by a microchip error, replace the dog's software or microchip.

You will just have to get your chip repaired as its the chip problem but if the company is providing you the replacement first try that and see, thanks.

As this electronics material  has to be used very carefully as if banged or fallen down somewhere creates this problem as there is a small chip in the unit called circuit that circuit is now getting cut in between so the idod is behaving like this that chip has to be repaired by a normal repair center .the cost should not exceed more then $5 as it is very minor reparing internally.just a soldering or a minir joint to be done. thanks.

Try holding down the nose until you hear whining and see a led light pattern.

  • Volume controlled by toggling the tail back and forth
  • as it should work
  • but if still does not work.hold the i-dog in your hand and shake it completely for half a minute.
  • then try.or its the time for its replacement as this does not has any garrantee.

Turn on underside near front legs. TAIL CONTROLS VOLUME FRONT TO BACK. Push nose and rub face. Connect to MP3 or Ipod switch the short cord end to end and sometimes that makes a difference.

If it is turning over when it does not start, may be a fuel pump going bad. Gets hot and stalls out and won\'t start till it cools
down. Must be replaced. Check fuel filter as well. Could also be something as simple as a bad battery, starter or alternator connection... Corrosion is a bummer!

Can not move files to usb drive, use system information or system restore, when opening a program windows installer starts up?

Sounds like you have a corrupted registry. Programs and files are behaving erratically or as if they are not correctly or fully registered or installed. You may need to reinstall your operating system. Good luck.

Cursor on my keypad jumps around

If your cursor moves erratically on the screen (for example, if it jumps around the screen, moves at varying speeds, or selects items on its own), perform the following steps:

1. Clean the surface of the touchpad with a dry, soft cloth to remove grease, sweat, moisture, or other liquids.

2. Adjust the sensitivity of the touch pad:.

a. Click the Start button and click Control Panel.

b. Click Printers and Other Hardware.

c. Click Mouse.

d. When the Mouse Properties window appears, click the Pointer Options tab.

e. Under Select a pointer speed:, click to move the slider bar closer to Slow.

f. Click OK.

g. Check to see if the touch pad still behaves erratically.

3. If the touchpad still caused the cursor to behave erratically, attach an external mouse to your computer and restart your computer. Use the external mouse to see if your cursor still moves erratically.

4. After connecting an external mouse, uninstall the touchpad driver from the Device manager listed under the "mice and other pointing devices" category and restart the Computer.

5. Download the Touchpad driver compatible to the Operating System installed on the Computer from the manufacturer's site and install it after restarting the Computer.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

1) Do not ask questions in CAPS. It's bad form and considered rude in some forums.
2) It's a failed mouse. Replace it or call the manufacturer for replacement.

Marble mouse problems

I have a problem like this with the marble mouse ... relatively easy workaround for me is if I simply grab the trackball with my fingers, lift it slightly out of its cradle, and put it back down, it starts working again. It would be better if there were some way to prevent it from freezing in the first place.

I had another marble mouse a couple years ago that did not have this problem. Eventually one of its button switches went bad so I had to replace the mouse. This is the replacement.
