SOURCE: vb6 source code is not compiling.

What the heck are you compiling it with that doesn't give a line number for that error? Pay attention to the titles of messageboxes! Perhaps noting what lines you changed from the original will give a clue to narrow it down, but I expect you addressed an object with a property ( in a context that can't be expected to generate or use that property as you gave it. Moreover there are spaces in object names, it seems....

SOURCE: inserting records into sql server using VB

It didn't enter the big if statement because all of the conditions to enter the loop were not met. You will need to set a breakpoint on the If statement and look at the values to find out why it falls short of the criteria.

Also, instead of incrementing the loop variables immediately before the Next statement, you could simply include a Step 2 modifier in the For statement to check every other row in the tables. You should not manually modify a counter in a For loop. You have class-level variables that appear to be used only inside of a Sub (that is where they should be declared unless they are used in another function in the class). You should be giving variables meaningful names and types. The variables d, h, and f are declared as integers, but treated as booleans and their names give no idication of their use in the code. And last (for now), the check3times varialbe is declared but never used.

SOURCE: This is an illustration of

Everything can be in the one file if you want, but that doesn't help with segregation of logic from the presentation layer (i.e. what you see on screen).

Personally I'd put my core class libraries in one or more files and include() them. And I'd probably put any extended classes in separate files and include() them additionally.

include ('library.class.php');
include ('extended.class.php');

SOURCE: I get the fallowing error

This problem is caused when a Site Server Web is mapped to a Membership Server, the HTML Administrator pages run in the context of the proxy account for the Membership instance. Normally, this account will be MemProxyUserX (where X is a number). The user logged on to the Administrator pages at this point is likely to be the Site Server Administrator. In this case, the Administrator's privileges are dynamically added to the MemProxyUserX account. Unfortunately, the Site Server Administrator does not have the necessary privileges to call BeginTransaction method of the "SiteServer.ContentIndex.1" object.
To solve this problem, follow the instructions below:
1. Add the Site Server Administrator to the Windows NT Server Administrator group and verify that Anonymous and Automatic Cookie Authentication are not enabled on the SiteServer\Admin virtual Directory. To do this, perform the following steps:
2. Open the properties for the Site Server Administrator (in the members container) in the MMC. Be sure to log on to the MMC with the Administrator account.
3. Click the Groups tab, and then click Add.
4. In the Show names from drop-down list, select ou=NTGroups.
5. On the Available item tab, you will find the Administrator group (not Site Server Administrator).
6. Add the Site Server Administrator to the Windows NT Administrator group.
7. Expand the virtual directories for the Web Site where the Web Based Administration is being performed.
8. Expand the Site Server virtual directory.
9. Open the properties for the Admin directory.
10. On the Membership Authentication tab, make sure that the Anonymous Authentication check box is clear, and that you do not use Automatic Cookie Authentication.

Good luck.

Repairing windows (wmi) on windows xp ser. pk. 3 not wanting to replace the os in the process.Restoring to an earlier date isn't working, says its unable to restore to that date. But, anyway finding that...

Microsoft has released a new diagnosis tool that helps system administrators diagnose and repair problems with the WMI. It is advisable to go through the WMIDiag_ReadMe.doc file to understand how the utility works, and the supported command-line arguments. Here is the download link: The WMI Diagnosis Utility
You may use the utility (WMIDiag.vbs) to find if a repository rebuild is necessary or not. The utility runs a comprehensive testing of WMI and reports the results to a log file, which is placed in the user's Temp folder (%Temp%) folder by default.
Mr. Alain Lissoir [MS] was kind enough to share the following info with me:
If there is a need among all problems detected by WMIDiag to rebuild the repository after attempting all fix suggested by WMIDiag, WMIDiag will list the rebuild of the repository as the last action among thing that can be done (before rebuilding the repository).
Here are some of the useful links that I came across from Alain's homepage:

After my computer has been on for a little while my desktop icons quit working. You can click on them and they don't work. The menus still work just no icons

Try restarting your computer, do the icons work? Also try setting your computer to not go to sleep and see if the issue happens after the computer sets for awhile. Remove all the shortcuts on your desktop and then replace them (you can make a shortcut by right clicking on a program and selecting "create shortcut"). Click the start menu, click "run", then type "explorer.exe" into the box and hit enter. If issue still persists try doing a repair install with your windows installation disc (instructions can be found on google). try{for(var lastpass_iter=0; lastpass_iter

Wmi error comes and vista hangs

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Boot into safe mode. First, open services and stop the Windows Management Instrumentation Service. Take ownership of the folder or the contents of the folder "C:\Windows\System32\wbem\Repository." I've done this three times now on different installs and didn't have any issues after doing this, but I suggest you back up the folder to be certain. Delete the contents of the folder. Reboot. When you boot into Vistamag-glass_10x10.gif, you might notice a half dozen or so application's OK.
Reboot again, and Event ID 10 will be gone, along with the afore mentioned application errors.

Good luck, I'm not responsible for you hosing your system, & all that.

WMI Error

I'm pretty sure you have a failing hard drive. Try dowlnloading diskeeper 2009 trial & see what it shows for fragmentation of the drive. Run the program & defrag the drive. If that doesn't help you can look for a program called tuff test & check the drive that way. That's the sure fire way to find out. If the drive passes tuff test then back up your important stuff & reformat & re-install the os. Use google to find tuff test. Good luck!

WMI Has encountered a problem and needs to close

When you attempt to start the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service, you may receive the following error message, and the service does not start:
Could not start the windows management instrumentation service on local computer.
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start

First, verify the number of dependencies attached to the WMI service. This can be viewed by running the following command from Start, Run:

The output should exactly as given below.
[SC] GetServiceConfig SUCCESS
BINARY_PATH_NAME : C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs
TAG : 0
DISPLAY_NAME : Windows Management Instrumentation
*See attachment*

The only dependency is the RPCSS service, and it does run by default whenever you start Windows. If you have any other dependencies listed, then it may be the causing the problem. To remove the additional Dependencies, follow this:

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Before you modify the registry, backup the registry key by exporting the corresponding branch. Also, see here to learn how to perform a complete registry backup.

Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
Navigate to the following location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\winmgmt
Double-click DependOnService, and set it's Value data to RPCSS

Close Regedit and restart Windows

If this fails, you will need to do a repair installation..

Hope this will be helpfull

Thanks & Regards
