The main reason behined improper shutdown is overheating. Here are also some tips to fix this problem: WebRepOverall ratingThis site has no rating(not enough votes)

Following are the reasons for overheating, just take care of these things::

1. Stop Overclocking your CPU

2. Use High Speed fans

3. Use Additional Cooling Units
4. Make sure your Heat Sink is placed properly above the processor.

Also try to fix windows internal errors.
For complete windows optimization i would suggest to use PCFresher.

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

System boots up and then within 5 minutes shuts down dead

Hi! Welcome to Fixya.
Have you try booting to BIOS and wait if it will still shutdown? Going to BIOS requires you to press F1 or DEL (or other keys depending on manufacturer) If it will not then try Safe Mode (F8) and check if it will still shutdown.
If the system will still not turn off, then you may try re-installing Windows or run stress test that will utilize the system and force it to shutdown. If it did then it may be the motherboard or other parts that needs to be replaced. If you are lucky (that computer did not shutdown) and able to re-install windows that the end of your problem. but if you are still having the same problem then possibly your computers motherboard may have a leaked capacitor or some sort.

Hope this instruction is a great help. Thank you for contacting Fixya. Bye for now.

I have lenovo 3000 model laptop and when im shutdown this is autimaticly restart.

HI heartbytes14

The problem often occurs because the operating system is not fully functional (meaning no damage to the operating system)
My recommendation to you to update the system via the microsoft update. if still valid format your computer to factory settings and do a system update as the first step.
so far it is successful if no other problems on your hardware.

Hi, we have a phillips tv. it is about 6 orso years old. within the last 6 months, it has starting going off. you turn it on and it may play 5 or 10 or even 30 or more minutes but it keeps going off. the...

I wouldnt use that service man. If your set is shutting down its most likely do to the shutdown circuitry being triggerd by a defective component. I would recomend contacting someone skilled with phillips model televisions, most sets that play and then shutdown usually have a problem with a single component that is triggering shutdown, a skilled repair man will test the various voltages to determine the cause of the shutdown.
