Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDP-51WS655 51" Rear Projection HDTV

Stand by light keeps flashing in series of 9 flashes.

    Can't find a G-board. Called Sony, Tech said this was discontinued. Any sources for this board would be appreciated. Thanks

    I have a Sony Wega (KP-51WS520) and my standby button has been blinking 9 times and then my husband turned the tv off for a few minutes and turned it back on and then the tv was fine. then after a few hours we left and came back home and when we tried to trun the tv on again now the tv is blinking 9 times and now no picture or sound. ???? please help!!!

You have whats called a zero crossing detector problem my friend. Usually the problem is D6116 and or D6301 0n the G board.

The light on my magnavox converter keeps flashing green then goes to stand by mode


mine is doing this too, i called Magnavox support and they aid it is an internal power issue and cant be fixed by troubleshooting, it has to be serviced. imo, probably cheaper to buy another.

need to know the number of blinks as thats an error code. it should blink a series of blinks pause briefly then repeat the sequence.

something inside the unit has caused it to go on protect mode it sounds. check the v supply from the fan as well as the audio output ic and main pc board.
