With XP, you right-click, click "Use as Background".

With Windows 7, right-click the page in an area where the preferred background is shown. Click "View page Info", click the "Media" button, select the Background image and it should show in the lower pane. If not, cursor up or down till the preferred image is shown., click "Save As..", change to the preferred folder and save the file with a preferred title. Withing Display Properties, locate and change the Background image to the saved file.
Even finding the proper area to change the background image depends on your Windows version.

How to set wallpaper

Hi, how are you?

To set a wallpaper, just right click on the image and SET as wallpaper.

images need to be on the resolution which fits the resolution you are using on your display.

Otherwise you will see blurry images.

I want to change my desktop background. .what is the easiest and safest site to go to for reat pictures?

Right click your mouse on an empty area of the desktop. A small menu will appear.
  1. Click on Properties [This will be Personalize on Windows Vista or Windows 7] to open the Display Properties screen window.
  2. 3Select the Desktop tab, if using Windows XP. Windows 98 users can select the Background tab.
  3. 4Choose a background. On the lower left half of the Display Properties Window, you will see Background (Win XP) or Wallpaper (Win 98). You can choose a background from the long menu list by clicking on the background/wallpaper design you want.
  4. 5Select a position. Stretch is generally the best choice but if the image you have selected is of a low resolution or an aspect ratio different from your monitor's, then Center or Tile will work best.
  5. 6Click OK to close the Display Properties Window.

Have you defragged the hard drive recently? Right click on the drive and go to "Properties" then "Tools" to defragment the drive. You might also invest in some more memory. Good luck!

When I download a e-mail with a pix, the square does not have a pix, just a big square with a little red X in a box.

You don't say what kind of email provider you have. A box with red x either means your browser is not letting the image load or somewhere along the line the image is not allowed to link.

A quick fix to try is to right click on the box where the pic should be and scroll down to Properties. This will reveal if the image is "linked" to a url. If it is, you can copy the url and forward just that instead of the imbeded pic.

Copy the url and paste it into a browser to see if YOU can load the pic manually. If it doesn't load manually, then there's something wrong at the source. Try it and see if anything happens.
