Question about LG WM-1832C Front Load Washer
Whenever I chose to do a cold water wash, the water starts off cold but then gets piping hot! It doesn't matter what type of cycle I pick.
We've turned off the hot water pipe and ran the cycle, but then NO water came out.
We have switched the hoses to the water pipes, but all that did was start the cycle with hot water and then it gets warm, but no where near cold.
The washer is 5 years old and never had this problem before so any help would be appreciated!!
It is normal for the machine to cycle between hot and cold water when filling even if selecting a cold cycle. The reason for this is because even a cold cycle requires the water temperature to be 78F for the soap to break up efficiently.
During the cold months the water in your pipes is probably less than 78F so the machine will need to add some hot water to bring it up to this temperature. Basically, it is adding cold and then hot water to maintain a temperature in the tub of 78F for cold water cycles.
Hope this helps, please rate my solution.
