Question about Nortel T7316E 2-Line Corded Phone
Alarm: 52-2-1 came up on the screen. Underneath it said TIME CLEAR. I hit Time, and it said 2012 12 04 12:18 Then it went back to the first screen and I hit CLEAR. I just wanted to know what it was and why it came on.

Well ~ eagleeigh731 has it mostly correct, do what he said to do and get into the programming --> find SYSTEM PRGRAMMING --> hit next until you find CHANGE DNs--> OLD DNs (this is the old extn#) 222 then type in NEW DN 431--> then hit the end or release button.
Voila your new extension is now there... to check dial FEATURE 0 then press the intercom button, the new extension should be there.

more than likely someone in your office left the message rather than the voice mail. to clear it press the call soft key below the screen. the screen should display who left the message with two of the soft keys labeled call and erase. press the erase soft key. it's possible the the person/s that left the message left multiple messages. in that case repeat the procedure til all messages are canceled
