Question about Miele Touchtronic G892 Built-in Dishwasher

No power on Miele 892

The dishwasher has completely turned off--none of the buttons are working--no lights, either. I have checked all of the fuses, and they are fine. What else could it be? There is a little water still left in the dishwasher from a previous load.

If it is built in check the circuit breaker.

Well, a technician must read the voltages at the board, the operation must not be done by the user for safety reasons.
If there is no power , then a short or a broken contact on wiring harness or power cord may be the cause.

If you already gained access to the control board you can check if the board has burned area, or if there is a bulged or leaky capacitor, or a blown component.
The board can be fully tested using a multimeter.

If you want to call service , use the number listed on the owners guide.

If you post the model number I can find the schematics and replacement parts price.

Hi!
Check the very bottom tray under the machine. Remove the lower front cover, 2 screws, and you'll find a tray full of water. A Turkey Baster will **** most of it out, towel the rest.
Once dry, the machine will operate through all cycles, most likely.

Ask for clarification

the impellers get stuck once in a while because they're small (part of the reason why the macine is energy efficient). All you need to jiggle the impellers free is a small wrench (1/2 inch or smaller), put it in the slot (take off the filter first), catch the impeller and move the wrench clockwise or counterclockwise gently until the impeller moves.

If the machine starts & the intake drain light is still on, click on the start/stop button for about 5 seconds and then restart.

Try flipping off the breaker, wait 5 min, then flipping back on. Watch and listen, and tell us exactly what it does or does not do.

If your dishwasher doesn't work at all, check these:

Power from the house
Door switch
Wiring
Timer or selector switch
Power from the house Is there power getting to the dishwasher? This can be difficult to test, because dishwashers are usually wired directly to an electrical circuit, rather than plugged into the wall. But at least check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Timer or selector switch Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, you need to replace the defective part, because neither of these can be repaired.

Miele G 2630 stopped working. It started and then just stopped now no power

Hi

The power issue with the Miele G2630 dishwasher is due to a blown fuse inside the dishwasher or due to faulty main board of the dishwasher. However, before checking internal components we can first reset the circuit breaker, make sure it is a 15 A breaker. If the breaker is fine then you'll need to disassemble the dishwasher. Try and dis-mantle the dishwasher from its place, before this remember to turn off power and water supply. And also check for the drain hose. After the dishwasher is dismantled, you can remove the back panel of the dishwasher and check for the blown fuse and also check for any loose connections on the power supply board. Inspect for burnt components on the main board.

Please post back for any further assistance. If you are satisfied please do accept the solution.

Miele g 892 sc intake/drain light is lite and unit will not operate

hi,

this is a general fault light which could mean anything without a Miele Technician coming out and connecting a
laptop to the unit. However most common faults with dishwashers is a drain fault. Check for any kinked hoses and check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose connects into the u bend. Usually this is where food gets trapped due to the spigot not being drilled out large enough. This then causes a blockage. Also check the non return valve under the filter and make sure the drain pump can turn freely.
Hope this helps.

G 892 intake light on

Reset the program by holding down the start button. It will be blinking. Then try the same wash selection and start it. If you wired correctly the drain pump will run 30 seconds. If the intake light comes on in 5 seconds and the drain pump is still running then you have a leak. Miele dishwashers have a safety system that catches water and triggers the alert. Ifthis is the case, there's nothing you can do but get a repair person to pull the machine out and find the leak. If the pump does drain only 30 seconds, then it will stop the pump and let water in. If it fills okay then it will circulate the water and if you haven't oversudsed it [ Energy Star machines use much less water and therefore make much more suds if you fill up the dispenser too high with detergent ] the suds will not trip the pressure switch. Otherwise it will start to heat the water. If the intake light comes on again it's important to know when it does. The computer inside evaluates 100's of steps. The Techs at Miele will need to run it with you on the phone. They have scripted access to the electronic memory and you participate to find the information. They can determine if you can fix it or not.
