Most laptops come with a manual antenna switch...just look around the body of the laptop...if not then a hot key with the antenna symbol should be available.

I have a acer aspire windws vista i cannot to the internet automatically but know i cannot connect more get the wirelss to turn on can you please help me

the special key to turn the wireless on is Fn + F3. use this special key to turn the wireless on. if in case the wireless switch pops up on your screen but cannot turn it on, the problem is with the driver. you need to reinstall the wireless driver of your computer.

Can't connect to the internet through wireless on my daughter's acer laptop

Your daughter's wireless card in her laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings eg. the SSID and encryption key
The encryption key in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Hey, I just bought an acer 4820tg with win 7, but I can't seem to be able to connect it to the wireless network. It just keep saying "no connections are available", but I know for a fact that there are...

does the laptop show a light indicator WIRELSS , it looks like a small top of a pitcfork
the computer should have a F button that shows the make certain the switch is on for wirelss

if you have the manual for this computer , read the part about WIRELESS and locate the information that shows you power management to turn the wirless adapter on

here is the link for the manual

Hi Anita,
This a site that exists to help folks with a variety of problems but your current problem is not the responsibility of Fixya, you need to contact Woot via their website quickly; they will help you for a limited time.
This website has nothing to do with your purchase.

Acer 5515 keyboard and touch pad nor usb ports working wont let you login to windows after loading AT&T wireless device

you can connect a wired mouse to the laptop from the rear. that is the only way that you will able to do something for now.
once you have the ablility to navigate in GUI., delete the ATT wireless device driver. and restart the laptop.
if you still have noo control after that, you have different porblem. if that solved you porblem then, you need to get a different ATT wirelss card or a updated driver fro that card.

I don't have wireless network on acer aspire4715Z

The Aspire 4715 comes with Wireless OPTIONAL. Your system obviously wasn't bought with a pre-installed wirelss card. If you want to go wireless, you will need to buy a wireless card/adaptor seperately.
