Question about D-Link Xtreme N DIR-655 Wireless Router
I am trying to use my new D-Link DIR-655 router with an IBM ThinkPad
T42 laptop (running Win XP SP3), which is about 4 years old now. The
laptop currently has an internal Intel BG2200 and an "external" D-Link
DWA-652 network cards. I updated the driver for the former card and
the latter is brand new. With both cards I get exactly the same
problem: If I make my wireless network completely unsecured, the
laptop can connect to it with no problems. However, if I set up any
kind of security (WEP, WPA, WPA2 or WPA/WPA2) the laptop
hangs at "acquiring network address" and never actually becomes
"connected." I am running firmware 1.21. Any clues on what is
- Log on to the configuration page of the router
- Go to Manual Wireless Network Setup
- And Change the Channel width to different one
