Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
Sent HP in for diagnose and when it was returned the wifi would not connect and the wireless connection help window would not even come up... anything wireless wont work.
Hi...Right click my computer \manage\Device manager\ network adapters if you don't see Wireless adapter then i think they miss to return the wireless module in its place or not returned proper way,If you see in the device manager wireless adapter disabled just enable it and try to connect............Good Luck

Check in device manager to see if its enabled and have drivers installed.some wifi are installed without a wireless manager and connect to first available(strongest)network.
go into control panel ,administrative tools, sevices and scroll down to wireless zero config and start.
then when you click on wireless icon you will have choices of connections(AP'S)(access points)
