I have sumsung monitor 740N, problem disply time is 4 sec only,i check the pcv board all capacitor are ok.pls help to solve this.tnx

Here are the service manuals: http://elektrotanya.com/?q=showresult&megnev=samsung&megnev2=740n&kategoria=&kat2=all

How is the DC voltage for the backlight inverter circuits?
Caps can look OK but can have high ESR.

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Hi.my flat screen is not powering up

pkawinzi, Fuse or switch-mode-power-supply has failed. If internal fuse ok, SMPS may be in full shutdown mode. Unit will need you or qualified ccfl back-lit lcd monitor tech to open unit and inspect smps printed circuit board if warranty has long since expired. All CCFL back-lit lcd monitors are of same basic design and operation. Just do some reading in the fixya profiles of tech's " buddymc" , "budmrtn" , and my old file "louie12fix" for all you need to know to make decision to repair (DIY or out-source repair) your unit. You only stated "now" info!!! A little bit of past performance "history" of your unit would have been more helpful.

My LG Flatron L1515S 15" LCD goes on blank scree(black screen) after displaying for 2 to 3 seconds and when i switch off and switch on monitor, again it is going blank after displaying for few second....

sitaramjava, Problem not new one!!! When lcd screen goes "black" point bright flashlight (torch) 1" (3-4cm) from lcd panel to determine if you can still see desk-top icons!!! If icons are visible, unit SMPS is in partial shutdown mode. If not visible then SMPS is in full shutdown mode. You or qualified CCFL back-lit lcd monitor technician will need to make repair to units internal SMPS/ CCFL inverter supply. Your monitor isn't any different than any other brand in it's basic design and operation!! Read my and other CCFL backlit lcd monitor technicians FIXYA profiles to see if you can repair it. 12fixlouie

Hi I have an Acer AL1916 that is not powering up, there is no light on the switch, is there anything I can do, like fuses to check etc? Regards Alan

Sorry no fuses that can be changed. Often it is just the power supply going on the fritz, take it in for repair, due to the cost of monitors repairs are usually very reasonable, as long as you find, a place that specializes in Monitor repair, it will be OK. Anyway you can always ask for a "Quote" and decide as to repair or replace,

My sumsung tft is no display

I will assume that you already try thus monitor with other PC with the same result.
Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG and other monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

My monitor is blank. No power when connected to computer. What went wrong It is a benq model

filmorepetty, The "switch-mode-power-supply" has gone into SHUTDOWN mode because it has detected a fault with itself or another circuit. Or it could have just blown a small fuse on the circuit board of the SMPS. Will the pilot lamp light-up? Did it have a clean, bright, crisp, image displayed on the lcd panel the day before? How old or how many total (approx) "ON" hours of use has it seen? Do you know that 98% of lcd monitors use "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" and an accompanying "electronic ballast" circuit to generate the WHITE LIGHT needed for you to see the pretty colors on the LCD Panel?? Same basic lighting technology as the new screw-in socket curlie-Q CFL light bulbs! Only your monitor's lamps are thinner and straight and hung on the rear of the LCD panel. A failure of the ballast circuit could cause SMPS to shutdown. I suggest you visit some other websites for more info on what other owners are doing to try and repair BLACK SCREEN lcd monitor problems. The first place to go would be YOUTUBE and search and view the longer 6-12 minute video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" just FYI and to know what you are dealing with??? Your unit could also have FAILED electrolytic filter capacitors on the SMPS printed circuit board. I'm 12fixlouie Bye for now.
