SOURCE: I have new intel dh55tc

I'm guessing that you are asking if you can hook vga to the graphics card. You can use an adpator:
This will allow you to hook a VGA cable to you graphics card. As far as the VGA out on the computer tower, the outlet should work if you have on board graphics but will not display from the graphics card. Depending on the graphics card you have, you could run two displays off the graphics card. Most, if not all of the Nvidia cards do not provide sound so you habe to rely on your on board sound.

SOURCE: Can't see 1440x900 resolution in display settings. in LG w1942s

go into the refrash rate and change it to something other than what it is you may need to go up or down it depents on the manufacture settings. also they may say the monitor can do it but it cannot do it, drivers are a big factor also.

right click, select the vedio card options, software option for the card, or properties, display options

control panal, open up personalization, diplay settings, advance setting, choose the best option for your needs.

Connect my Acer monitor to my digital cable box.

Not sure what your cable box outputs but connect your cable box to a tv and try changing the resolution of your cable box to 1600x900 or less if there is such a setting; the monitor will not display resolutions higher than 1600x900

Change the resolution on my Samsung B2030 LCD Monitor

1600X900 is a higher resolution than that of 1280X1024. Therefore 1600X900 is a better resolution. If you would like to run at the lower resolution simply right click your desktop screen and click properties. Then on the settings tab use the slider bar to adjust the resolution. Lower to the left and higher to the right. If the desired resolution is unavailable then you could try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your graphics card installed in your computer.

Your card will either be AMD/ATI Radeon or Nvidia. You will need the model number of the graphics card, the latest drivers may increase resolution support for your card.

Also look on the bottom right hand side of your screen for an Nvidia Control Panel logo in green. Right click it and select the option to "change screen resolution" This may provide you with additional resolution options.

Take care!

I have a samsung 2033SW monitor which flickers very frequently displaying that "your optimal resolution is 1600x900.Follow the above settings to set".Though I have set the resolution to 1600x900...

- You can test the monitor by using another CPU, if still the same then the problem is monitor, but if it's working well then the problem is your CPU, to make it sure then you can try another monitor on your CPU. - check if the hardware connection is well attach, you can pull & re- plug the hardware just to make sure. - the monitor is need a DVI connection (white or gray) to run properly, if you use AGP connection ( blue ) on your VGA card that might the problem, so you can also try upgrade your VGA card. - other ways is to install the latest driver for your VGA card.

Hannspree 20" HF207 monitor display is too wide for the screen. I am running XP and the CD and website only have a driver for Vista. Is this a driver problem or a setting in XP? Please help, I already...

The drivers is not a problem for your case. If you can not select the 1600X900 resolution (this is the native resolution for your monitor) the problem is at your VGA; it does not support this resolution. What is brand / model is your VGA (or if you use the on board at the motherboard what brand / model is your motherboard)?

I have an AOpen Motherboard model number MX46-533GN and have just purchased an HP2009v monitor which uses a 1600x900 resolution. I can only adjust the display to 1024x768 which gives a slightly elongated...

The latest drivers are available on AOpen's site here. This may not help you, though. The high resolution your new monitor needs is more than the integrated video hardware can deliver, and the drivers can't change that. You will need a replacement video card.

The motherboard has a 4X AGP slot for video expansion. Many cards are available from many vendors. Here are a couple of examples from Tiger Direct: one card. another card. If you're outside the US, you can find vendors closer to you.

Screen monitor images on the righ side is not showig.

Hi afcarrillo,

This could be a simple resolution problem. By that I mean that the resolution is set too low, therefore putting things off screen. Here's how you change the resolution:

Windows XP

Right click the Desktop and select Properties. Click the tab all the way on the right that says settings, and drag the slider to your native resolution of 1600x900

Windows Vista

Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Personalization, Display Settings and drag the slider to 1600x900

Windows 7

Simply right click the desktop, select Screen resolution and pick 1600x900

If you do not have a resolution problem, then it's most likely the monitor itself. Most often times you can fix it one of two ways:

1. Some monitors have a button that says "Auto" which will auto adjust your monitor. If you have one, try it.

2. If that didn't work or you don't have one, go through the monitor's OSD (on screen display) and work through the settings so that you can manually adjust it and set it to your taste.

Hope this helps :)

I bought a 1600x900 monitor and now pictures are distorted

Your screen's ratio is oriented to playing wide screen formatted movies. Set your screen resolution to a ratio that's more or less 2 to 1 and you'll have a more realistic depiction of people on photos.
