The model number almost certainly is a wd one.

Set is a DLP set with a lamp and 98% chance the optical light engine is the cause. Some of these start with one or two out and gradually it can get worse with more and more appearing over time.

It is about the most expensive part in the set.

Sorry, but I have seen them since the first DLP sets came out.

SOURCE: Blue and yellow shadows on my Hitachi rear projection TV

The color has gone crazy on you because your convergence IC's have gone bad.
These IC's operate at a very high temp, and usually only last 4-5 years.
If you remove the back of the set, you will want to look for the BIGGEST heatsink in there, on that heatsink, you will see 2 lage IC's , probably STK392-110, or STK392-120's or something close...regardless - you can go on ebay to order the new ones, but MAKE SURE they are Genuine SANYO IC's and not counterfiet cheapies. the cheap ones may only last 2 months..
You will also need some "Heat transfer paste" - you can pick this up at radio shack.
Once you remove the old IC's, test all the large resistors near them.. pull one side of the resistor out of the board so you can check it out of circuit. they will usually have the value in Ohms, printed directly on the resistor, but you may have to use the resistor color code to find out what value they are....However, usually if there is any damage, the resistor will look like it has been HOT or fried. replace the IC's and any bad resistors, and you should be good to go.
If after replacing the IC's and any defective resistors, the convergence is still bad, make sure to use a multimeter to check ALL fuses on the boards, --- sometimes when the IC's go, they will take out a fuse to the convergence power supply. If you find any bad fuses, replace them accordingly!
Hope that helps!

SOURCE: White dots appearing on Samsung TV screen and multipling each day

It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board. Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.

LG Plasma inch has black pixalation around moving pictures only.

It is likely NOT the set and if using a box for hd it could be it.

Most likely is signal is slow and set cannot keep up with it.

Three small white dots have appeared on the screen. What does it mean, is the lamp going bad?

White dots are caused by the DLP chip failing. This part must be replaced to get rid of the white dots. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on several models. Ypu can call 1-800-samsung to find if your unit is covered.

Some pixal channels pixal in and out or don't come

It can be that the cable box is not as sensitive as the other box, try swapping the boxes. I had 1 of the three of my Comcast box replaced it three time (thay always replace it with used one which is a problem in itself, just lousy services), same problem as yours. Also check the cable connection to make sure they are clean and tight.

Ps3 80 gig pixalated on hd screen beond reading.

That is usually a problem with the motherboard graphics chip. You would need a motherboard gpu reflow. To check this, connect a non dhmi cable to see if the same problem occurs,

first plugging another hdmi device in to your tv.
the hdmi ports on those direct tv receivers have been known to go bad. i've had this happen on three of my receivers from them and have been told that they came out with a new receiver for just this reason.

Pixelation

This model has been known for problems with the Hyper module but the picture would be affected with any input source.HD or not.The cable converter box and the cable signal are the only culprits for pixilation.Pixalation is the result of missing digital information via signal. If it is only appears on the HD signal I would suspect the cable signal or the converter box.I assume you are using your component input on your TV or the HDMI input. As a technician I would suspect the cable box or cable for pixalation.

Samsung Le32r51bd

I have been having the same problem. It started as constant white dots obscuring the menu but as you hardly use the menu I left it. Then I had a row of white dots 5 dots high all the way across the screen about two thirds of the way up. This only happened on Ext1 and Ext 2. I tried 3 different Scart and A/V cables in ALL the possible connections in the back and still I got the dots. This has gradually got worse and I now have a screen full of flashing dots. With it being out of Warranty (18 month old) I have been referred to a company to repair it.
Estimated cost £263.37 inc VAT  Diagnosis: Needs a new PCB board Time to fix: 1 week
I shall update once I know more/final cost, on Wednesday.
In future I shall be taking the extended warranty out. :o(
