If I understand when the blu-ray player is connected to the set you get the TV sound or what? If properly connected by way of a set of rear audio/video or component jacks to the same on the TV--you should if change the TV input to that location see the blu-ray and hear sound it sends out.

Component, composite, or what is the hook up between the two units?

SOURCE: Sharp Aquos LC42d64u has blurry picture...

Hi,

Is it slow and blurry? if yes then return it to warranty immediately. The video processing circuits are malfunctioning and the repair cost is prohibitive if you must pay for it on your own.

I hope it is still under warranty. So, do not delay getting it into the Sharp Authorized facility or back to the retailer you purchased it from.

The connection cable you use could have something to do with it, but is should work on all formats. The best for reliability and absence of blocking is just analog composite - but that is also the lowest picture resolution. S-video is okey too, but it is analog as well. Component is the highest grade; going to hdmi is just another way of receiving the signal - I don't think it will effect the error correction problem in any way. My opinion.

Goodluck..

SOURCE: Sharp Aquos 46" HDMI problem

I have a similar problem. The Sharp TV aquos appears to be shutting down my blue ray player and dvd recorder when connected via HDMI. They work fine and never close down when I connect them via the rca cables either single video connection or a composite 3 cable rca lead. I have 3 HDMI inputs on the tv and the problem occurs on all 3. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: My Sharp Aquos LC-40E67UN is plugged into a Sony

Wow it seems as though you've pretty much done all of the applicable troubleshooting for this issue. The only other thing I can advise in this case is to consider purchasing a SD card. Some Blu Ray players require a little extra memory to function properly so they come with an SD card slot. Of course no one tells you this when you buy the player but it may be the solution to your problem.

Hookup Blu ray player to Onkyo pre-amp for speakers

If you have audio out jacks from your tv, you would be better served hooking that up to the preamp. If you hook up the blu-ray player separately to both the tv and amp, the audio probably will not sync with the video correctly. The tv takes longer to decode the hdmi input and the audio will be ahead.

You can connect it by any way to your BDP. There are cables to connect in between. HDMI, S-Video & AV. After connecting these cables with your TV, select the appropriate selection to video by TV.

Hi, I just bought a blu ray home theatre system and hooked it up, the surround sound sounds great but it only works when my watching a movie with the blu ray player... I hooked the blu ray player to my tv...

If you want everything to have surroud sound, it all has to run through your system and you select which function to use. Yes it sounds like improper connections.

Just hooked up our Panasonic Blu Ray and we have picture but no sound?

Hi, some tv's and some blu ray players have an option in the settings for HDMI or Sound, usually says something like 'Sound Through HDMI' - 'Yes' or 'No', you would need to select yes in the menus for both if this applies.
Some tvs & blu rays don't output or receive sound through the HDMI lead (check the specs to see) in which case you will have RCA inputs near to your HDMI socket on the TV and RCA outputs from your Blu Ray player....., you will need to connect a stereo RCA lead to get sound from your player through your TV.

Hope this helps? (I don't know the models so cant help any further than this)

I just bought a Blue Ray player but my surround sound has a dvd player built in and only one input which I have my new Sharp TV plugged into. How can I hook up my Blue Ray . I have the HDMI cables

Depending on if your surround system has a hdmi input or not. if it does you can connect the blu-ray player to it. If it doesn't have an hdmi input you will have to run the hdmi cable from the blu-ray to the tv then run a set of rca cables (red and white plugs) from the tv audio out to the surround systems' audio input jacks to get sound through the surround system. Most surround systems don't have an auxiliary input for another video device.

Blu ray connect to my sc-pt660

as far as hooking up your blu ray player to the sc-pt660, the only real way to utilize the surround sound (with true surround sound) is through the optical audio out. You need to connect your blu ray player through hdmi to your tv and then connect your blu ray player to your surround sound using the optical audio out/in. I, personally have the sc-pt660 hooked up through component cables so I don't waste an HDMI input on my TV. Except for cd's, there is no reason for you to use the actual dvd player part of the surround sound considering you have a blu ray player. In conclusion, hooking your blu ray player and the sc-pt660 up to get better video simply isnt possible (your blu ray player alone gives the best possible resolution, 1080p). As far as audio goes, run an optical audio cable from your blu ray player to your sc-pt660 to get true surround sound.

Not getting a picture on my sharp 37' lcd 1080p tv

Not sure if you still need help but I will suggest a few things if you have not solved the problem or returned the unit.

Have you tried connecting it to one of the other HDMI inputs?
Have you also tried using the component video out from the Blu-Ray to one of the RCA inputs on the TV to see if the player is working at all? Is there another TV that you can connect it to, to test the player?
Without knowing the model of TV I am limited to solutions I can suggest. Try those and if you need more help, let me know.

Cheers

If I'm not mistake, it's dependant on you monitor's ability to display 1080p. I believe the defaul setting on the 94TXH is to read the TV's max resolution and anything above will not feed.
