GATEWAY LAPTOPS NOT CHARGING...WE NEED TO GET FILE COMPLAINTS WITH BOTH BBB AND GATEWAY AND THEN SUE THEM IF NOTHING HAPPENS...

I TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY GATEWAY LAPTOP -THAT A LOT OF THE POSTS CONCERNING GATEWAYS SEEM TO BE HAVING. I TOO HAVE PURCHASED NUMEROUS BATTERIES AND AC ADAPTERS BUT TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM !!! THE FEMALE PART THAT THE AC ADAPTER CONNECTS TO - INSIDE THE COMPUTER ON THE MOTHERBOARD - IS AT FAULT. IT IS EITHER A BAD PIECE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED OR GATEWAY HAS INTENTIONALLY MADE THESE PIECES WEAKER IN ORDER FOR THE COMPUTER TO FAIL AND FORCE THE CONSUMER TO PURCHASE SERVICE FROM THEM OR BUY A NEW COMPUTER. REGARDLESS SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. PLEASE JOIN ME IN FILING A COMPLAINT WITH BOTH THE BBB IN YOUR AREA OR ONLINE, AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH GATEWAY. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD NOT EXISIT. THANK YOU !!!

    I have the same problem. I've tried multiple chargers, but I can see the screen flicker all the time showing the poor connection somewhere in the link. The charger works with other computers, so it is definitely the female side of the connection.

    I'm on my 4th charger and am also to the point where I don't want to put anymore money into this! Time for a new Laptop. I know one thing though...I'm done with Gateway!

I was told by the computer repair company the connection is arching back and shorting out the chargers. To have a connection replaced would be $150 so that is what we are going to do. We have gone through 4 chargers on our gateway also.

  2. Contact gateway. Let them know you have seen multiple reports of this online
    and you believe this should be repaired under manufactures warranty.
  3. Stop threatening to sue any/everyone because you don't like them.
    This never bodes well and creates a negative vibe for the person who will try to help you!

If you reside in the USA, you can file a complaint through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This is the link to the FCC Consumer Complaint Center web page:

Also, in the USA, Canada, or Mexaco you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau:

A number of years back we had a problem with our landline telephone service provider. I tried to get the problem resolved every business day for full month. I finally filed a complaint with the FCC and 2 days later we were contacted by the telephone service offering resolution to the problem, including a financial incentive from the company.

Regarding complaints filed through the Better Business Bureau against a business, the BBB contacts the business seeking a resolution to the complaint. The times I have filed a BBB complaint, the business in question has contacted me within 24 hours.

Without knowing the name of your service provider or if you reside in the USA, I cannot direct you to any other source for resolution of your problem.

If the charge on your statement has a telephone number, call it. If you can use a recorder do that. They will likely try high-pressure techniques and may even refuse to refund the charge but this step is necessary before you call your credit card issuer. They can stop the charge and refund your money. Afterward, file a complaint with your local BBB or on-line with the city of the scammer, if you know it. Do NOT do do nothing. That will result in more charges.
(This is from personal experience. I have been battling these weasels for years and have a phony magazine subscription I am working on now,)

Let me go over your threat first then, I will tell you who we are.

First off we are fixya.com you found us by googling witch every internet user does when they want to file a complaint or three.

2."The zynga poker banned my account"

Did you write zynga and tell them your issues with there game?

You might want to consider writing them here is the LINK to write them.

Since you did mentioned you got Banned letm e ask you this?

Did you do something wroung on there site? Why you got so many chips?

Ask yourself this, Did I hack? Did I commit or break a rule or a few?

Also you might want to beware of what site your threaten it could end you up in some serious battles with the law you might not want to deal with. The word SUE "take to court", unless you plan on doing it is a threat and really ro the best of my legal knowledge might end you in a deeper situation then a banned account.

Here is some tips

1. Write the company
2. Call the company
3. call you bank if you feel there are unauthorized charges.

File a complaint with the BBB "better business", use www.consumerist.com but using harsh words and other forms of legal language might end you up in court.

you can take the laptop to a laptop shop & have them resolder the power plug to the mother board or purchase a new motherboard.

Sound, No Picture

I took mine in to the Sanyo authorized repair shop and they found the screen itself was bad. Sanyo sells the new screen for $1100, almost double what I paid for it. The repair tech said they do that intentionally.
