Question about Zonet Computers & Internet

Zonet home wireless router blocking facebook suddenly, no recent changes to network

Cannot access facebook from my home network (1 laptp, 1 desktop, 1 bluray player). No recent changes in network setup. Tried switching modems, no luck. Currently using firefox on Windows 7, but tried IE and Chrome with no luck on any computer. For some reason, cannot connect directly to modem either (request for username and password, but ISP claims none should be required). Any ideas? No issues at all on school or neighbor's network, Time Warner Cable is out of ideas (surprise surprise).

Have you tried Unplug Modem, remove battery, unplug wireless, Install battery in modem, plug in, wait for selftest, plug in wireless device, wait for self test, plug in computer, boot normally. If that fails Push and hold the reset button on the wireless device for 30 seconds. The Moden should have a reset as well, push and hold for 30 seconds or so. If I had the Make, Model of the Modem and Wireless device I could be more helpful.

I've already tried the above suggestion, no luck. Modem: Motorola SURFboard SB6141. Router: Zonet 802.11 n Wireless Broadband Router ZSR4134WE. Laptop and desktop running wirelessly off router, blu-ray player running wired from router. UPDATE: Finally managed to connect laptop directly to modem, no problems with Facebook through broadband connection. Problem remains with wireless (additional problem website discovered: Alaska Airlines!).

How do I disable Zonet router's firewall?

You may want to try to manually configure the router with an static DNS. You should be able to contact your ISP for the DNS server IP and then log into your router and enable manual DNS settings on your router to use the DNS IP address.

Since Zonet no longer exist you should have a user guide handy,

Zonet wireless router zsr4154ws system password

Try this;

First we are going to have to access the router to change the System Password.

Open a command prompt
(Windows XP)
Start>Run>(type)CMD

(Windows Vista & Windows 7)
Start>type CMD in the start window at the bottom of the start menu
right click on CMD and left click on Run As Administrator

In the DOS window type: ipconfig /all (there is a space after ipconfig)

I willl need you to locate the (DEFAULT GATEWAY)

Add the default gateway to an internet browers this will take you to the home page of the router. If a password is needed to continue you will have to reset the router to factory default.

On the back of the router you will see a reset tab, bottom or pen whole. Hold the reset (tab, bottom orpen wole for 30 seconds this will reset the device to its factory settings.

Now go back to adding the Default Gateway into a browser now you should be able to access the interface of your router.

Use the blow link to see screenshots of your router so that you can secure it with a password.

Good Luck!

I Installed the software for the Zonet ZEW2508 on my laptop with windows xp home.. Now what? (I have an operating wireless router already)

Ignore the software and use the built-in wireless utility that comes with Windows to configure your network. There should be a small icon by the clock that looks like a radio antenna with waves, right-click it and select to 'View Available Wireless Networks'. The rest is self-explanatory.
If the Windows utility states that it is not managing your wireless networks, you'll need to disable the Zonet utility first. If you need help with that, let me know.
Good Luck!

I have a new laptop with wireless at home. How do I set up the wireless connection from my zonet router? Victor

By default, wireless routers always broadcast wifi signal. The only thing you need to do is to enable the wifi radio receiver of your laptop. To do it, make sure that you have the wifi LED lit in your laptop which means that your wifi receiver is ON. Now, you need to connect your modem to your router so that your router will then broadcast internet signal. Then you are good to go. Your laptop should get connected automatically and receive internet signal.

If you want to configure your router, visit http://192.168.1.1 when you are connected to the network so that you can change some of your router's behavior.

I have a ZONET wireless router but don't know how to get my computer to read it

Your computer needs to have a network card to plug into the router 1st, using a CAT 5E network cable, so that you can access the configuration screen or if you have the software for the router you can use the USB port and install it like a peripheral device.

Try using http://10.0.0.1 to access the configuration screen using your internet browser

Once your wireless network is up you need to have a wireless network card in your PC so that you can access the wireless network.

Can't connect my Linksys WRT54GS router to zonet zps1000

The gateway would be the address that your router uses.

You would plug the print server into the back of the computer using the ethernet line.

Use this link to get into the support section of the website:
