Question about Philips HDD1630 MP3 Player
When i go to turn my mp3 player on it shows a yellow triangle and says connect to your copmputer and when i do nothing happens it just goes to the screen where it says there is a connection on the mp3 player but on my computer it shows up like something like usb mass device or something like that. The cord has connected in the past. i use windows XP And the cable came with the unit
You might also consider using Windows Media Player to sync songs to it. Merely copying files to the drive often works too but occasionally it hiccups (since Phillips only "officially" supports using WMP) and you might have to reformat the device.

Ok...you are almost there... now go to "My Computer" icon and click it and then find your new drive letter associated with MP3 player. (if you hover it, it should show the 6 Gbytes..or slightly less..of storage available). Click it and you can see the contents of the MP3. Use Mouse drag and drop from there to add songs.
