Question about Bosch HBN 452 / HBN 456 Electric Double Oven
I used some Easy Off oven cleaner to remove a baked on spot in my oven. I didn't realize some had sprayed on the sides and therefore I did not clean it off and heated the oven to 400 degrees to cook later on. I can not get the baked on Easy Off off my oven...is there any solution to this?

SOURCE: bosch oven
looks as though youre circotherm element has blown (open circuit) you will need to remove oven and check with multimeter should read around 35-37 ohms on 2.5 kilowatt heater if open circuit will need replacing easy to do on most ovens and no too expensive around £30-£35 for element depends on model and output power.
hope this helps

NO..wont hurt it as loong as you got it all out.. but plz remind her that this is a self cleaning oven....Which does not mean you have to clean it yourself !!! it should be fine.. tell her next time to run it thru a self clean cycle for at least 3.5 hours on the timer setting..

First off i must say that in your owners manuel it clearly states to not use any cleaning products inside the oven..
Second if the cleaner is now completely cleaned off then when put into the bake cycle it could possibly turn the cleaner into a toxic gas. I would not use the oven i would replace it.
Third having the enamel chip off is not a safety concern. it is merely cosmetic. however refer back to number 2.

Hello. I want to help you. I can understand why you did what you did. Now though I want you to forget about the open cleaner and just set the self cleaner again and let it run its course. get back to me if it won't let you do that as there are other things you can do then.
