Question about Tools & Hardware - Others
Engine will not turn over[start].I tried removing both spark plugs and spraying a very small amount of starting fluid...Engine starts to turn over, then it stops. This happens every time I spray with starting fluid. Can anyone help..The plugs are new,all wires seem to be connected, and new gas.I removed the clamp on the fuel line near the pump, and ir is fowing.Thank you. Also, the electric does not work...someone told me it needs to be remagnetized
Sounds like the carburetor needs a professional cleaning and setting,, check the battery for COLD CRANKING AMPS<<< toy might find out its bad..

SOURCE: fuel pump
Can you hear the pump when you turn the key on normally? When the pump on my old FJ starts up with the key, it makes enough racket to let you know. Your bike is alot smarter than mine, it might be able to tell that the lines are unhooked and preventing the pump from working as a safety thing. Is the fuel line made of or contain any metal? It may need to see continuity in the fuel system to allow the pump to operate. Or some other parameter is not being met with the lines disconnected. Have you tried thumbing the starter with the lines off? The bike might only pressurize the system when the engine is starting or running.... actually, this is my best guess now that I think of it.

well the first part of your question i was all ready to tell you to put a new fuel pump in, now not so sure, there is a relay for fuel pump, can you hear pump cycle and relay click? relay under hood you will have to listen close they don't run long maybe a couple secounds, if you don't relay bad. if you do pump could be bad, do fuel pressure test pump could be weak. don't think sunroof and turn signals are related, but stranger things have happend.

SOURCE: i'm having trouble starting my
i dont want u to be a partz replacer like those dealership boyz-it could be that the fuel pressure regulator is bad-thats why repair manuals r so good-see u r gettin spark but the petrol not there-hopefully the pump was installed rite-now the regulator is in engine area n thats where to concentrate
