    To change the desktop background
    1. Open Desktop Background by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg and clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type desktop background, and then click Change desktop background.

    2. Click the picture or color that you want to use for your desktop background.

If the picture you want to use isn't in the list of desktop background pictures, click an item in the Picture location list to see other categories, or click Browse to search for the picture on your computer. When you find the picture that you want, double-click it. It will become your desktop background.

I tryed to put a picture of my own as my destop picture. i took the advice of someone else and went to properties-desktop-and pick one of my pics, but when i right clicked all i have is graphic properties...

    This is a better solution:

    1) Go to the picture that you want for your desktop background and double click it. (This should open it in Windows picture and Fax Viewer.
    2) Then right click anywhere on the image and select "Set as Desktop Background".
    3) Easy as that.

This is an alternative way of doing it:
    1) Locate the image you want to use as your background.
    2) Without opening it, right click on the picture file.
    3) Select "Set as Desktop Background" from the popup menu.

If you are still unclear I have included some pictures to help you.

    Here is the first way:
Step 1) Go to the picture that you want for your desktop background and double click it.

Step 2) The image is open with Windows picture and Fax Viewer

Step 3) Then right click anywhere on the image and select "Set as Desktop Background".

    Step 4) Easy as that.

Please rate this solution by clicking the thumbs up at the top right of this solution. Your rating is much appreciated.
