the model number is 4408-k02, it is a lexmark x6150 all in one inkjet printer. the alignment is off and I don't know how to fix it.

  • 5saldys Jan 12, 2009

I unpluged everything from the printer and uninstalled the software, shut is down then reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. the alignment is still off.

  • 5saldys Jan 12, 2009

I reinstalled the software and it still doesn't work. any other suggestions?

  • 5saldys Jan 12, 2009

how do i know if it is the driver?

  • 5saldys Jan 12, 2009

It is still not working. One other guy suggested that it could be the driver, but I don't know how to tell if that is what is wrong with it. It keeps telling me to remove the tape from the ink but I already did and it was doing this even before I replaced the ink.

  • 5saldys Jan 12, 2009

it still is not working after selecting the maintenance option and I don't know how to keep talking to the same person.

Go to control panel>printers & faxes>printer>properties>align print cartridge. You will have to print out an alignment sheet and there should be a setting to re-align it.

You have to Reinstall the cartridge not the software. Once done run the alignment test using Lexmark software.

You can align it via the printer software utility on your computer, if that utility is not working you can try to uninstall/reinstall the printer software to your computer and if it still do the same thing you can also align it using the menu on the printer, This is a copy of the user manual , you can get it from this link so you can follow the steps to align it using the printer menu http://www.retrevo.com/support/Lexmark-X...

Try to update your printer firmware. The update will help improve your printer's overall performance. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark S400 Series Firmware Update. If more than one download is listed for your model, choose the first download in the list. If it is the wrong firmware level, an error message will tell you which firmware level is correct.
Should the error continue to display on your computer screen, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

The Lexmark x5495 printer is not printing correctly. The printout is not aligned properly. The printout is crooked. How can you solve this problem?

Try to re-seat your cartridges and make sure they are properly inserted in the cartridge carrier.
If that doesn't help, please do the Align Cartridges function on your printer. From the printer operator panel, while on Copy mode, press the Menu button > Tools > Maintenance > Align Cartridges. You printer will then print a test page that will help align the cartridges.
After the page is printed, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed. Thanks.
