Question about Computers & Internet
During computer startup, system shows red/white Compaq logo screen. I can hit F1 for setup or F10 for system recovery. I hit ESC, and it shows the main BIOS/Video screen, mouse initialized, etc. Right after that screen, a boot menu appears, prompting me to select Hard Drive, DVD-RW Drive, Floppy, or Network. I select Hard Drive and computer boots as normal. Just looking for a simple fix to this issue. I've scanned for malware, done a defrag, and even changed the CMOS battery. Any help would be appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Computer won't boot up
you must hold down the F10 key( for system recovery) when you turn on computer. hold down as computer starts up,hopefully it will then repair itself and boot up. If not, start up computer holding down F12 for advanced diagnostics and run some test!! Good luck

Got to BIOS by pressing F2,check or any floppy setting and disable it even in boot order setup. This will solve your problem otherwise replace the lithium CMOS battery.
As you have reset the BIOS setting to it's default setting.Floppy drive is enable by default whether your system have a physical floppy drive or not.
