Audio Output signals distorted

Without knowing what make and model of whatever you're asking about we can't be specific.
But if all outputs are distorting. Either the preamp is driving the amp too hard, or the amp is fried and needs repair/replacement.

Gt5 12 inch 275 watts how many watts of amp best?

Depends on what output your stereo is. If you underrate the speakers (speaker watts is less than stereo output), the unit will sound louder for a while, then you end up blowing your speakers with the excess distortion. If you overrate the speakers (speaker watts is higher than stereo output) the speaker will not operate correctly and the distortion can damage it also. Its best to get a close match. Slightly higher is better. It is important you know actual wattage output not PMPO ( Peak music power output) A lot of stereos are rated at PMPO. The higher number sounds great but in reality, the figure is the MAX output and by then the sound is distorting badly. Distortion ruins more speakers than anything else...

Sound distortion with NAD T 514...

You are probably clipping in that midrange. Since the DVD player is fine and CD player is distorting: they are line level outputs, If you are running those through an equalizer- the equalizer should allow you add in a 10db attenuation.

If you are running them straight to the amp, The CD line level output should be about 1.5 volt peak to peak, it may be the line level input of your amp is only 1 volt and the DVD player simply has that level of output so does not clip..

Simply adding into the cable a 0.1 microfarad polyester capacitor for each channel should be enough attenuation to avoid clipping. The midrange is where you hear the most content in large part because that is the range that the human ear is most sensitive to. Which is why that portion clips. The DVD audio is actually recorded to the same specs as CD audio. You can confirm this by playing your CD disk in your DVD player. .

Distorted sound especially when I try to increase volume

Use the input to be fed using an external audio feed from a source and if there is distortion in the output then the output section is faulty.
If not the output is working fine and the premap section can be faulty.

Distortion on vocal reproduction on Vocalist Live 2. Even with input volume down to minimum a loud vocal performance produces distortion on single voice and harmony output.

You need to check the actual signal levels to make sure they are within the specs for the unit. The mic input is low impedance. Your mic should be like a Shure SM58 or equivalent. The output is fairly high... up to +14DB which will require you to turn down the trims on a mixer this runs into or set a -20Db pad at the input. I suspect your distortion is from the device output to the mixer input. It is VERY important that the mic does NOT "hear" the speakers as the feedback loop resulting will be mass distortion. The guitar should also not "hear" the mains.

I dont get a clear sound even though the picture is clear

First of all take the Audio output from the LINE OUTPUT and connect to an external amplifier. If the sound is still not clear then it is possible that the fault is in the SIF section provided this is the sound distortion from a Tv program/cable program. If this is a DVD or DTH input then the distortion can be from these input units. So please confirm on them.
If the sound does not have distortion then the fault is in the OUTPUT of the audio amplifier in the TV, Possible the output IC or the coupling capacitor are defective.

My fender hot rod deluxe is distorting in clean channel when I push the volume past 2

Realize that the number on the volume control is only relative... it means nothing regarding what the amp can produce. With a high level output guitar you can easily drive the amp into distortion at very low volume control level settings... what counts is the actual output sound volume and specifically the voltage output going to the speaker. Once the amp reaches saturation, any further input just pushes it into distortion or "flat topping".
An oscilloscope on the output will quickly show when amp starts to flat top.

If the master output lights go above green (into yellow) the sound becomes slightly distorted even at low speaker levels. i have cleaned the output jacks but it is still distorted

Does the distortion ALSO appear when you listen with headphones? If not, the problem may be downstream. The driver for the mute control line to the mute transistors may have a problem. Make sure the mute is off.

Pioneer SA100 integrated - low, distorted output

At this point, I would be looking at the main power suply for the final output stage. You may be attempting to drive the output with the driver section rather than the final amp stage. The center pin of the output transistors should have B+/B- on them. Measure that to ground and report the value here.
