Question about Apple eMac G4 Desktop
If you're getting the blinking no folder icon, then the hard drive either needs to be re-seated or is dead.
If you're not getting any power, then you'll need to troubleshoot the cable and power routes.

The 6180 memory device refers to the removable memory devices that can be loaded into the slots on the front of the machine, not the scanner. Your devices are configured wrong.
The scanner is a TWAIN device and therefore requires a Twain driver. Accessing Twain sources requires you to SELECT SOURCE for your scanning software.
Just un-install, re-boot, then re-install the drivers for the 6180. Make sure to allow the resident software that runs on your PC to run in the background. HP needs the "ImageMonitor" and other software to run in order to "feed" your scanning software.
