Sorry I dont have the solution but I have the same problem.
Read somewhere that Sportcraft control boards had
a design flaw.

Unplug unit and check the motor brushes they maybe worn and need to be replaced call Sports Art Fitness customer service @ 1-866-709-1750 they will sell you the brushes

1 - Motor Movement
indicates a speed issue. In this case, the motor speed as reported
from the optic sensor differs
the speed setting.
Optic sensor signal issue -- Either the optic sensor signal is not
right, or it is read incorrectly, or
signal is not reaching the display.
Clean the sensor, test for open or faulty, tight the connector very well,adjust it, see the diagram attached.
