I am a TV repair person on this site but I have fixed a few driers (wife shouts if it does not work).

If you can get to and see the ignitor and it is white and ceramic look to see it is not cracked in the middle---dead giveaway and once you have access and get at it not too hard to replace.

I was looking in this area of the site and saw no one had replied to your problem.

SOURCE: no heat-gas dryer--Amana

There is a flame sensor on the side of the flame housing. Jump the 2 wires out and see if the ignitor glows then. If so you need a flame sensor.

Flash, did you check the thermal fuse in the back? On a gas dryer the drum will still turn if it's blown. check out the picture and post back.

SOURCE: maytag gas dryer, no heat, ignitor wont glow

The machine will check all safety features first. check the overlimit by the burner. It may have a reset. If not, turn power off and check continuity (ohms). Good luck.

Gas Dryer Heat wont stay on.

Must be something in the blower section. You need to get into the dryer and clean it up. Air restrictions cause overheat condition. When the temp gets so high the limits shut it down. Lots of videos on you tube that show how to get into. You can google gas dryer dan webster or roper dryer no heat dan webster and I have some videos posted how to get into these.

Whirlpool gas dryer # LGB 6300 no heat

There are 3 parts that would cause the no heat problem. It is probably just one that is the problem, but the other 2 will soon follow. You will need to replace the "coil kit", the "flame sensor" and the "igniter".
Here is the coil kit.
Here is the flame sensor.
Here is the igniter.

After replacing the 3 parts you will get years of service from your dryer.

Whirlpool Cabrio Gas Dryer. Will heat for a short time then stops. usually gets stuck around the seven minute mark and wont move from there. Cothes are soaked. I checked all internal parts with multimeter...

Hello,
If what happens is the flame comes on when it first starts, after the flame goes off you see the igniter glows then goes off but no flame, the coils that open the gas valve are working while thier cool but once thedryer gets running, when warm to hot the gas valve coils wont open the gas valve so when the igniter comes on and no flame the coils have failed to open gas valve and need to be replaced, all manufactures use the same coil supplied by one parts supplier, and them not opening the valve when warm is a very common occurence regardless of what brand gas dryer it is.
The part number for the coils is 279834 they could be picked up from your local appliance parts store for under $20 or online at;

Only heats for 10 minutes

I feel like I may know exactly what is happening here: The basic set up works because it will heat some and quit. Now that tells me those coils are getting hot and failing. All basic American dryer use a standard set of coils. I have pictured them and posted the parts numbers in the links below.

you could remove and bench test the theromostat. my kenmore would not complete the circut to heat at all with a faulty thermostat. Just use a jumper wire to bypass it and test it THERE WILL BE NO SHUT OFF COULD HEAT UP TOO MUCH IF LEFT RUNNING.
