SOURCE: jig saw model 7580 type 4, replacement for blade clamp

There is no model 7580 Jigsaw. The only model close to that I can see would be the 7588 Type 4. Unfortunately that part is unavailable for this model. You may want to contact your local Dewalt service center and see if there is a substitute for that part.

Model JS250Q type 1 Skil Saw - cannot seem to get the blade to stay in and cannot find the manual - could you possibly send a pic of the clamping mechanism?

product diagram is at this link;http://www.ereplacementparts.com/black-and-decker-js250q-type-variable-speed-jig-saw-parts-c-4167_4262_11752.html. I suggest you remove the screw you use to tighten the assembly, install your blade and if there is a hole in the blade, try to visually line up that hole with the screw hole. Generally ,that screw has a nose that will pass the blade first, then tighten the clamping mechanism.

The blade on my saw also moves about an 1/8" back and forth. I believe the the shaft has end play as the blade is tight on the shaft. Above is is stated to use a fiber type washer to fill the gap! ...

the washer would go on the outside of the blade facing the screw and then the screw would tighten the washer to the blade which would stop the 1/8" play amount if the saw is leaving marks what type of blade are you using a finish blade would have alot more teeth then a frameing blade how teeth does that blade have if you have any further questions message me back thanks Rick

My Craftsman 7&1/4 inch 12 amp Circular Saw(Model 315.108330) slips while cutting. The motor keeps spinning but the saw stops rotating. Can I Fix it?

Most circular 7-1/4 saws have a bolt and a compression washer that acts as a brake shoe that holds the blade secure but under dire circumstances will allow the blade to slip some rather than hold the motor shaft and allow burn out. The compression washer under your bolt has become worn and doesn't grip the blade securely. You can find a split washer that will fit under the blade and give you some more friction, or go to sears and order another compression washer for your saw.In the Sears Parts List found at: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Saw-Parts/Model-32018780/0247/0744410/50035950/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

How to change the saw blade

Adjustments
LARGEHEXWRENCH
TO REPLACeTHE BLADE
See Figures 43 - 45.
 Unplug the saw.
 Lower the saw blade, raise the blade guard, and remove the throat plate.
 Make sure the bevel locking lever is securely pushed to the left. Raise the saw blade to its full height by turning the height/bevel adjusting handwheel clockwise.
 Using the smaller hex wrench, insert the flat open end into the flats on the arbor shaft.
 Insert the closed end of the larger hex wrench over the hex nut. Holding both wrenches firmly, pull the larger wrench forward to the front of the machine. Make sure the blade nut is securely tightened. Do not overtighten.
Check all clearances for free blade rotation. See To Set the Scale to the Blade. In cutting operations, the scale will be set to the side of the blade where the cut will be measured and made.
To replace the blade with an accessory blade, follow the instructions provided with the accessory.
To install a standard blade:
 Place the new blade on the arbor shaft (the teeth must point down toward the front of the saw to work properly).
 Place the blade washer and the blade nut over the blade arbor. Be sure the dome side of the blade washer faces out from the blade and that all items are snug against the arbor housing. Tighten securely.

I bought a delta scroll saw model number 40-540, the blade was broken. I need to know how to change the blade and what type of blade the saw takes. Thank you

your delta scroll saw has two blade attachment points one under the table and one in the arm. attach under the table first and then in the arm. that way you can be sure to adjust the tension properly.

there are only two styles of scroll saw blade, those with pins and straight blades without pins

look carefully at your saw and you will be able to see which type holder you have
