Mp470 won't work with windows 8

you should be able to install the 32bit driver normally.

go to device manager and click on update driver once their point towards your 32bit driver

so you have and old CQ2025 DESKTOP !!! no service tag presented by you, so all answers can be wrong, !!!
sorry win64 will NOT make win32 bit programs run better, sorry.!

Ok I did and both support this OS.
first is HP support , and next is Atheros.
first off, learn that HP has many mother boards used on just one series PC, any PC
then learn that it has both onboard ethernet or PCI-e card Ethernet or even BOTH !
why not up grade it and end the pain with a modern 1GBit lan card now.?with supporting drivers. $5?

if in fact the PC was/is not slammed, the F11 key would put it back to day 1 new, and your missing drivers would in fact all be restored to day one conditions, like all HP computers 2006 and newer have. but i best F11 is now dead from slamming the PC.
Slamming = using wrong install media or methods,....!

When downloading a printer driver from HP you will need to ensure that you are selecting the correct OS (eg. Windows 7) and the appropriate version (eg. 64 or 32 bit operating system). These drivers are different and using one on the other will not work.

Yes it is compatible with Windows 7. According to Microsoft website, it should be compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit. You can check it if you want from the list posted below.

If you are not sure if your system is 32 or 64 bit, check your system information utility (windows key +, then type msinfo32). If it says something about x86, it is 32 bits or if it says 64 then it is 64 bits. Drivers for both are available below for you to download.

Most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.

BUT not ALL 32bit programs will run on Windows 7!!! There are many programs that will run on Windows XP and before that will not run on Windows 7. IF you had Windows 7 Pro version (or upgrade) there is a program you can download from Microsoft that will simulate an XP environment to allow programs to run called "XP MODE".
Try to install the 32bit software first. If installation not succeed, it would be better if you first look into a newer version of the program you want to run.You have to consider that a newer version of your program might not be that much more expensive than upgrading to pro, and with the newer version, usually comes newer features.

Win7 32bit doesn't have this feature, only win7 64.

Answer 1: The 64-bit version of Vista includes a 32-bit bubsystem to run 32-bit apps. I have not encountered a problem with it yet.
Answer 2: The power is consumed by hardware, not software, so with the same power settings you will see no difference in battery life.
Answer 3: Sorry, I couldn't locate any information about that model. You may be able to find appropriate drivers from other sources by pulling all available details from your existing drivers and searching the mfr website for them.
