When i turn my car on the light on my amp is sometimes green and sometimes red. i dont know which one is just power or which one is for protection mode

The red light is normal and indicates the amp is powered up. Check your signal wires (RCA patch cords?) and speaker wires. Need more info to be of more help. What receiver are you using? How is it connected to the amp?
