Windows 8, 2 months old.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

you can try pulling the screen apart and re-seating the ribbon cable, but the lcd might be broken, or one of the controller lcd chips might either be cracked or broken. Trying to reseat the lcd ribbon cable might help, but if there is a visible crack in the screen- you will need a new screen.

turn on pc enter bios setup select default settings save and restart.have os disk in drive wait for screen display any key to start from cd.press any key to load disk.in options select install windows ( not repair) your system will find existing os ,now you can choose repair or install fresh copy.if you choose to install fresh copy delete partition first and create new partition and format.

When you first turn the machine on hit F2, that will take you into the bios menu, i don't know what version your machine is using, but the information is usually on the first page, you should find it easy enough because it will be next to the CD/DVD drive.

probably ur system's software is corrupted or ram is faulty..proceed with the following step(s) only if u r a professional..
1)a) open it/them, rub itz teeth gently with a eraser, to remove any
oxide and or carbon formed..resit them again into the slot(s)..
b) replace the ram with a standby n see..
the above often take place with some error message(s)/blue screen..
but if there's no such displaying, esp if hangs/stops/power off during installation..
[plz give priority to step1(b), it may b the sole cause]..
thereare also exceptions, where it is found that any hardware component onthe system is loose or incompatible (see addon cards, the ram(s), thehdd, all data cables n power cords, may b dusty, cpu overheating, see filter/power/south bridge/crystal clock generator section of m/b esp mosfets and capacitors..etc..
when u get into the os, plz do the following:
hva licensed and UPDATED antivirus installed (i prefer avg/kaspersky,remember, without updation a full version antivirus is useless)..
download, install n run microsoft kb890830..http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en..
download n run Startup Control Panel..http://download.cnet.com/Startup-Control-Panel/3000-2094_4-10039330.html..'removeall the unnecessarystartup items from here..(if u can't find what toremove, post me/us inur comment with all the items listed in each nevery tabs herein)..
remove all unnecessary software from add/remove programs..
download, install n run 'Advanced System Care Pro'..http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Pro/3000-2086_4-10399324.html..
contact ur system admin/vendor....
