can depends many factors, try to grind finer coffe powder and warm well the machine before starting to brew coffee. If the grinder does not make finer coffe powder then you must contact the service, check if blades are in place before calling them...
the coffe maker might be clogged up so here' what to do:
Look through the clear plastic panel on the side of the coffee maker's water tank to make sure that it has water in it.
Clean your Sunbeam coffee maker, You can wash the removable filter basket and carafe in hot, soapy water and pour 4 cups of white vinegar into the water reservoir of your coffee maker. Start the brewing cycle with no coffee grounds to allow the vinegar to clean the inside of the coffee maker. Rinse away the vinegar by running the brewing cycle twice with only clean, fresh water.
Check the removable filter basket to see if the filter has collapsed if you find coffee grounds in your brewed coffee. If the paper filters collapse often you can wet them before you place them inside the filter basket so that they will stick to the basket and stay in place. or check this link because it might need a new hose. Trying to understand what you are talking about, but if you have water in the top left side of the brew unit, its your thumb screw. If you have water under the brew unit Its the drain for the pressure release. remove the brew unit. The injector behind the brew unit on the machine has a drain and it can get clogged with coffee residue. If there is water below the injsctor the drain hole is inside and towards the front of the machine. A long zip tie inserted in the drain aimed down towards the front will usually find the drain hole and clear it, then take some hot sudsy water and flush the drain.
If its the thumb screw you will ahve to get a new one but be sure to remove the extra nut on the filter screen shaft before installing the new one.
actually it sounds like a blocked filter from the brew group.
Take out the brewgroup and iether with your key (sometimes not in the box) or with an allan head remove the filter.
Check the filter by holding it against the light for obstructions.
Clean with needle
I guess this might well be your problem
And if you use hot water by the way instead of steam the water light will go out faster.
If your warm water works you have no problem with your boiler
