According to the picture posted the freezer defrost is stuck on. Why it would not get cold enough. Contact a local appliance repairman and get professional help as this should require control board repair/replace.

how full is it? if the vents are blocked this will cause the freezer to not cool enough. what is the temp ? second the defrost timer or the element may not be working this will cause the evapator coils to get clogged with ice therefore hampering airflow. third the cold control it is a thermostat sensor that tells the compressor to start the cooling. how's the fridge ? The fridge should be aboult 40 degrees +or- 5 degrees and freezer around zero if working correctly. the defrost timer is located somewhere around the cold control. there should (if a mechanical timer) be a small hole about the size of the tip of your pinky just inside that hole is a small plastic nub. you should be able to turn it if you find it try a small phillips head screwdriver to turn try both ways. if you hear a sound like winding a clock and then what sounds like a clock running at anypoint you have found it. what this does is it shuts down the cooling and activates a small electric heat strip in the freezer to melt the ice that collects on the coil remember grandma's old freezer and all the ice? this system takes care of that for you but does break. if the timer starts the defrost cycle you might have to run it thru a couple of cycles to melt the ice. if it's any prob but too full of food you will want a trained tech to repair. but you can find out what the problem most likley is and not get taken to the cleaners when paying for repair

That is normal since the cold control is on the refrigerator side and is satisfied. It needs to be in a heated environment and not in an unheated garage.

The problem is a defrost problem. The freezer coil has frost on it and thus restricts the cold air from flowing. This affects the refrigerator as it gets its cold air from the freezer. The ice will not make if the temperature is above 12*F and this also is why ice cream is like mush.

Check the compressor with a volt meter, if the compressor is getting proper voltage then check the relay. But this sounds like a problem with the compressor

I had the same problem with fridge/freezer and repair man told me NOT to use anything that has been in freezer as what is happening is that it is constantly freezing and defrosting because there is not enough gas in the system to cool the appliance. It is possible to re-gas the appliance but service engineer advised me to claim a new fridge/freezer from company which I did. Please do NOT eat anything from freezer as could make you ill.
