Why doesn't key turn in ignition switch?

Sharply turn steering wheel back and forth while trying ignition, this may loosen the lock detente pin enough to work.
If key is stuck, under the steering wheel there is a button or what looks like a button , stick a key in the little indention and the button falls out ( no force required) and then stick a long firm wire straight up and you will hear a faint click and the key should come out. I used a long match stick like the ones you would light a fireplace with. Della press the helpful button

96 ply breeze ignition key sticks

It could be a couple of things. 1) try lubricating the key and key lock in column.2 if your steering wheel is turned and has pressure on it, relieve the pressure by turning the wheel at the same time removing the key.. If these don't work, add some info on the problem. Is it auto or stick?

It is stuck and no keys will work. It shows small "degree" and "0" only. It will not shut off.

Try taking out the batteries. If that doesn't work it may be that your key pad is sticking. You may need to take apart the calculator and clean the keys so they don't stick. Good luck!

Keys sticking. The keys at both ends are sticking or won't go all the way up and strike the paper.

Try trickling some White Spirit into the typebar slots and working the keys repeatedly.

I have the same problem with the key being stuck in the ignition

just repaired my girlfriend one, and like you said the button keeps sticking, cuz their is a small rod, that got loose, you need to remove all the panel around the stick, most are just clip-on, might need, to force them, and the last big peace, as 6 screws, and from their, look under the stick, on the passenger side you'll see the switch, , just push back the rod in place and voila!, I just did it,

Key sticks in ignition

I would say your ignition cylinder is worn out. get it replaced now, while the key still works. If you wait until it stops working all together, they will charge double because it will have to be cut off of the steering column instead of easily sliding it out. I wouldnt think the lights and door locks are related, just a bad coincedence.
