Wrist straps bear much of the load and it's very important to use them correctly. I've found a great video that can explain you exactly how to do it right, just follow the link http://www.rei.com/expertadvice/articles/trekking+poles+hiking+staffs.html#ooid=UwcGJzMTqoUBYjG-EahO83N28h8Q-yQC

How do you attach your trekking poles to the backpack?

I usually stick the handles in the mesh pocket, with the poles upside down. Then I cinch one or both of the side cinching straps onto the poles to keep them standing up straight. If the pack is somewhat full it helps keep them up.

Hi, I purchased a pair of new Leki supre makalu cor-tec antishock trekking poles on ebay. One arrived with a strap cut in half and I have had no luck with the seller supplying a replacement, or even...

Hi Lunny, Not quite sure whether you mean "split". It is normal for these straps to have a **** in the unpadded section. If the strap is irreparably damaged that's a different matter. They do have a lifetime guarantee if that is any help. I have just been browsing for details of these poles which I have myself also, and came across your post. I have seen several accessories for them in the US and UK. I'll have another quick shuftie and let you know if I come across any straps that might be able to be sent to you. Best Wishes, Ann, England.
