The air conditioner freezes and if I turn off the ac the compressor still on and a have to unplug the ac
The points on the contactor switch are most likely stuck. will have to be replaced if you can find a local supply house they are usually no more than 10$

If the compressor is not even trying to start you have an electrical problem in the circuit for the compressor. The thermostat could be open and not supplying power to the compressor or the thermal overload device could be open.

This is a single speed permanent split capacitor motor for the condenser. One of the capacitor wires shows infinite resistance to hot and netral. The motor needs to be replaced.
